Interested in understanding rhythm through dance or dance through rhythm? Here is a
golden opportunity to explore the interconnectedness between rhythm and movement.
Attakkalari announces Drumjam VMC India Playshop, a one-day seminar/workshop with
acclaimed musician Vasundara Das and Roberto Narain in the month of November at its
multi-arts centre, Wilson Garden, Bengaluru.

The seminar will include elements of rhythm, voice and body musicality along with some
basic elements of movement. The workshop is accessible to people with varying ability or
proficiency in rhythm & movement from beginners to musicians/movement artists.
No prior musical experience required. Drums and percussion instruments are provided for
the duration of the seminar. But if you’d like to bring your own instrument, you’re most
welcome.

Vasundhara Das is a multi-faceted, multi-lingual personality, well known for her skills in both
the film and music industries. She has trained in Hindustani classical music from an early age
and has also made her mark as a popular singer for Indian films. As a composer, Vasundhara
creates original music at her Bangalore based studio called THE ACTIVE. As an entrepreneur,
Vasundhara and her partner Roberto Narain, run Drumjam, a company that uses the
medium of music and rhythm for corporate training, team building and community building.
