 About the show:
Girls Just Wanna Have Friends! is a theatrical poetry show which takes a gritty look at Female Friendships in a pre-woke era and calls upon women to revisit their friendships and reevaluate their feminism.
Through spoken word, music, and movement the show ties together narratives of women who have sent in stories from their school, college, and professional lives.
This must-watch show aims at starting conversations along with providing enough satirical commentary for your weekend.

About the artists:
Nupur has been a nasty friend. Her only salvation is a confession. In her first ever show in Chennai, this spoken word artist tells tales of gossip, strife, and debauchery as she pulls her girls together on this journey to be better feminists, and friends.
BUT also: (Nupur Saraswat aka The Sanskari Girl is a theatrical poet from India/ Singapore who uses her words to speak with abandon and rally for causes close to her heart. She has collaborated with artists like Javed Akhtar and Sofia Ashraf, and taken her shows to 15 cities in 7 countries in Asia and Europe. Her short term goal is to bring intersectionality and radical kindness in her work.)

Karu is your go-to gal pal, the girl who will put you first - always. Come watch as, for the first time, this artist finds ways to take space, hold her friends accountable, start a conversation about emotional labor of love, and dance the fine line between being a great friend and a great pushover.
BUT also: (Karunya Srinivasan is a multidisciplinary artist. As a dancer, writer, artist, performer and expressive arts therapist her work involves an intermodal approach that interweaves different art forms as tools for expression and healing. She has started Samana Art Movement, an invitation to engage more deeply with ourselves using the arts through workshops, classes, performances, conversations and events.)
