The long weekend of Dushera is finally here. Pack your bags and make the most of it. Let this weekend getaway to Mahabaleshwar and Lonavala free you from your tedious work, pollution and boring routine life.

The beautiful mountains of Sahyadris are calling us. Lets head outdoors to the queen of hill stations Mahabaleshwar. Enjoy the panoramic view of the valley, rejuvenate, take pictures, indulge in Strawberry tasting.

Drive towards Lonavala, hike up Lohgad fort (Easy hike) and see one of the most beautiful valleys of Sahyadris with Pawna lake background. Lohgad also has thick ridge walk that will lead trekkers to punishment point a cliff of the hill.

Trek to Visapur fort and enjoy the panoramic view of surrounding villages. Explore Lonavala town, visit couple of view points and chillax at a cafe.

Travelling from Hyderabad to Sahyadris of Maharashthra in the post monsoon season is a rare opportunity, thanks to long weekend.

Day 0 (Friday night):

  • Start from Bangalore. Overnight journey to Mahabaleshwar.

Day 1 (Saturday):

  • Have breakfast on our way, reach Mahabaleshwar by noon
  • Check into your rooms freshen up, take shower with hot water
  • Visit Famous Lingmala waterfalls and enjoy the scenic view
  • Head to scenic waters of Venna lake which is beautifully located between two mountains in a valley, stroll around to shop some souvenirs
  • Stop for lunch and try delicious Maharashtrian food
  • Visit Kates point, observe stunning views of the Mahabaleshwar valley
  • Visit Mapro Garden to taste varieties of berries
  • Reach back hotel, have dinner of your choice, rest for the night

Day 2 (Sunday):

  • Start the day with nice breakfast, explore Dhom dam of Krishna river
  • Check out of hotel and head towards Lonavala
  • Start hiking up the Lohgad fort.
  • The fort has well laid 300+ stairs initially. Along the way, we get to see beautiful Pawna lake in the backdrop of lower Sahyadirs in different forms and angles. It's a huge fort to explore once we finish the stairs.
  • There is a tomb, temple, and some ruins above. There are many different ponds that used to be water supply to the people back then.
  • Start descending after exploring the suicide point and have lunch at the base.
  • Explore Bhaja caves
  • Check into the hotel, have hot Chai with snacks as we laze around in the breezy evening.
  • You can order your dinner and drinks, chill out all night

Day 3 (Monday):

  • Start the day with a hot breakfast around 9 AM
  • Drive to the base of Visapur Fort and start hiking up.
  • Monsoons create a whole new ecosystem on this fantastic fort. With right shoes/sandals, it's a delight to trek Visapur fort post monsoons.
  • After a challenging hike, descend and have Lunch at a local restaurant
  • Head to Lonavala town and explore beautiful viewpoints, spend time till late evening, chill out at a cafe and refresh
  • Finish your leisurely dinner and start back to Bangalore by night

Day 4 (Tuesday):

  • Reach back home by afternoon of Dushera day
  • Share your beautiful long weekend getaway story of Lonavala and Mahabaleshwar with friends.


Whats next after booking tickets:

  • A Whatsapp group will be created for all the registered folks a night before the event
  • Information like exact pickup locations, things to pack, Organizer details, etc will be shared in the group


Important notes:

  • Gear up for long journey. The distance covered is huge in 3.5 days. Only people who can adjust to traveling long distances in Tempo are advised to book this trip.

By buying the ticket on Events High platform, you are giving the unconditional acceptance of the below

Terms & Conditions of Muddie Trails:

  • No Luxury. We assure awesome memories of every trip, but not awesome facilities!  We provide basic facilities in terms of food, travel & accommodation.
  • The itinerary is fixed. No special requests to change itinerary/schedule are permitted
  • Absolutely No littering during our travels. We swear to protect our environment.
  • No alcohol & smoking during Treks & adventure activities. There would be separate window and space (usually at night) to have these at campsite/homestay for interested people
  • Co-operate with the organizer(s) in following the schedule set for the day (especially getting up and getting ready in the morning). This will ensure travelers won't miss out on the real fun part - that is traveling. 
  • Every traveler is responsible for his/her for your own safety while traveling with Muddie Trails. Don't indulge in any illegal or silly activity that causes harm to you or fellow travelers.
  • Every traveler is expected to sign a liability/waiver form given by the organizer(s) after boarding the vehicle that discharges Muddie Trails of any unexpected incident like injury/death/theft etc.
  • Unexpected situations: It may happen we do not cover all the places mentioned in the itinerary because of unpredictable reasons like bad weather, wild animal presence, abrupt blocking of sites by the police/forest department, delay in travel because of an issue with our group itself, traffic conditions, etc. In most cases, if the time permits, organizer(s) will take travelers to an alternative place. But in some cases, we may have to skip a place altogether.
  • Travelers are expected to respect each other and help each other.
  • Avoid discussing sensitive matters like sex, politics and religion/caste/race.
  • Using foul or abusive language, eve-teasing, arguing with fellow travelers/organizer(s) and/or involving in the physical assault will not be accepted and will stand a chance of being deserted by Muddie Trails.

  • 80% refund if the cancellation request is made before 48 hours of the event start time
  • No refund within 48 hours of the event start time
  • No refund during/after the event
  • No postponing your ticket to future events
  • No refund on partial payments made to book your slot
