Madhugiri trek is around 120 Km North West of Bangalore in the Tumkur district. Madhugiri trek is named after the Madhugiri hill which translated to the Madhu (Honey) + Giri (Hill): Hill of the honey.
Apart from trekking the other famous thing of this place is the Fort dedicated to the Hyder Ali during the 16th and 17th century, as the remains of the fort is even explored today the fort mains has 3 gateways to enter it as they are Antaralada Bagillu: the Inner Door, Diddibagilu: name used to describe Northern and Southern Entrance and Mysore Gate: The Main Gateway.
The above 3 Gateways of the fort is the lead way to the peak which as a temple dedicated to Lord Krishna which is ruined and remains of it can be seen. And actual Trekking or Hiking is started from this place as the path as few steps marks in cared in the monolith and on it goes stepy and left out in the middle and further continues near to the peak.
Day 1: Start from Bengaluru at 5:00 AM, Transportation will be arranged Tempo traveler
--> Reach Madhugiri in around 2 hours.
--> Have Breakfast and start the hike
--> Finish hike in around 3-4 hrs admire the Madhugiri top, have snacks
--> Start back to Bengaluru, Reach back by lunch 2PM
