Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does. Allen Ginsberg
Spoken Word Poetry - Two art forms combined, words both written-unwritten, spoken-unspoken. As Allen Ginsberg said, what a poet does is make the private world public. And a spoken word poet does so not with only a pen and paper, but with a language of passion and emotion.
The evening air is going to be filled with the sound of snapping fingers and eyes at peace, lids closed, as you lose yourself in wittily crafted and superbly performed poems. You're going to love being there. (Or up on stage!)
