We are keen on taking Responsible Eco-Tourism to the next level.  Accordingly, the N.A.D.i team is curating a number of events, festivals, and campaigns that will not only connect you with nature but also responsibly. 

N.A.D.i is unique

River Fest 2020 is being organised by N.A.D.i (Nature, Adventure, Discovery and i) and Plus One Productions, organisations promoting 'Responsible Eco-Tourism'.

The River Fest has eight elements 

1. Water-based activities/competitions such as Kayaking, Stand-up Paddleboat, Banana-boat race, and Raft-building from plastic waste

2. Land-based activities/competitions such as Treasure Hunt, Slow Cycle Race, Mud Volleyball, and Rural Games

3. Camping and Caravanning - River Front Camping and Plantation Stay Camping.... amidst nature

4. Workshops - Nature Photography; Fishing; Pottery; Dance and Bar-tending

5. Performances - Performing bands are 

 a) Space is All We Have

 b) Project Mishram

 c) The Heights

 d) Anirudh & Rohan

 e) STEVIE

DJ Ritu V.K will take you through the night.....

6. Cuisine - Saturday Lunch  and Sunday Breakfast (Malnad cuisine) and Saturday BBQ Dinner 

7. Flea market

8. No Single-use Plastic campaign 

You have been to music festivals, you have been to food festivals, you have gone camping, you have been to workshops, you have been to a flea market.....maybe even to a River Festival. But we assure you that this will be a one-of-its-kind River Festival and you don't want to miss out on it.

It is all happening on Valentine Weekend........ 

N.A.D.i, The River Festival has been approved by the Government of Karnataka. Other partners are Plus 1 Production and Decathlon.

Dos & Donts

Dos

  1. Welcome to the first-ever N.A.D.i River Fest 2020. This is your Fest celebrate, celebrate responsibly.
  2. We have lined up a number of activities for you to participate in, do check them out (check the activity timings to avoid any clash of timings)
  3. Register for the activities before coming to the venue. 
  4. Do drive / ride safely
  5. Do look up signage from Channarayapatna for the location venue.. 
  6. Do wear comfortable clothes when you are participating in any activity
  7. Do bring a spare set of clothes
  8. Besides your  sports shoes, do carry your floaters / Hawaii slippers
  9. Do bring your own water bottle, preferably steel or reusable bottle
  10. Do carry your medicines, if any.
  11. There is a medical room with a doctor and attendants, if you need any assistance please do not hesitate
  12. Do contact the organizers who are identifiable for any assistance
  13. Park your vehicles only in the parking lot, parking attendants will help
  14. Do look up the map of the venue available on site, to know where what is going on
  15. Do your own thing, responsibly

DONTS

  1. You are amidst nature, let us endeavour to make it a better place
  2. Let us leave the place much better than it was before
  3. Do not park your vehicles, other than in the parking lot
  4. Do not park haphazardly, go by the directions of the parking attendants
  5. Do not leave your valuables in your vehicle
  6. Do not throw cigarette butts or lit match sticks in the fields
  7. This is a drug-free event
  8. Do not do drugs. Anyone found doing drugs will be removed from the venue
  9. Doing drugs, you will be solely held responsible and liable for punishment as per Indian laws
  10. Do not throw empty cans/plastic wrappers on-site, use the dustbins
  11. Do not litter, there are enough bins, both dry and wet, please use them
  12. Do not throw any sharp objects on site
  13. Do not carry glass water bottles, if you do, please ensure in case there is breakage to clear up and dispose of it in the appropriate bin.
  14. Dont get into the River @ The Karle Homestay without authorization
  15. Only those participating in water activities will be allowed to enter the River
  16. All participants in the River Activities will have to wear life jackets. It is mandatory. Any violation will lead to disqualification and removal from the venue
  17. If you have any medical issue, please let the organizers know
  18. If you have any medical issue and have registered for an activity, let the person in charge of that activity decide on your eligibility
  19. Do not wander in the night in the dark, away from lights, on the property
  20. Do not climb trees or pluck flowers or fruits
  21. Do not create nuisance in the night (after all the activities have come to an end) and disturb the peace
  22. At no time, anyone on site should cross the caution tapes and enter the river
  23. There are otters in the river, so please do not disturb their habitat
  24. There are plenty of peacocks in and around the property, please do not disturb them
  25. Do not mess up the toilets, though there are attendants to keep them clean
  26. Please use water judiciously
  27. Do not hold up any event/activity for no rhyme or reason
  28. If you have any issues with any activity, please contact the person in charge for that particular activity
  29. If your issue has not been resolved, contact the organizers who will be identifiable by their badges
  30. The final arbiter will be the Commissioner of the NADi festival

Itinerary

Event Starts at 10 am on Saturday, February 15, 2020

All activity timings (water games, land-based games) will be held from 10 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 5.30 pm on Saturday. Detailed timings of activities will be available at the venue. 

On Sunday the activities begin at 7 am and close by 1 pm.

The N.A.D.i River Festival will close by 2 pm on Sunday, February 16

What to Carry

1. Since it is a 'no single-use plastic' event, please carry steel water bottles or reusable bottles

2. No 'single-use plastic' will be allowed at the event.

3. Please carry sports shoes/slippers

4. Please carry a spare set of clothes

5. Please carry medicines that you may require

6. There is a medical room, but may not have the medicines that you may be taking

7. Carry a torch

8. Please carry mosquito repellant

2. Directions to The Karle Homestay are available on Google maps plus our signage along the route

3. Since the homestay is away from the highway, the rural roads are not wide enough, drive carefully

4. There is ample parking space for cars and two-wheelers with security
