Pet Friendly

Pet Friendly

You don't have to go out of the way to find a pet-friendly establishment. At Forest Hills, we understand that your dog is a part of your family. So why would you leave them behind? The good news, of course, is that forests and dogs are made for each other. There are leaves to gambol in, creatures to sniff out and miles and miles of land to explore.

Travel Petiquette

For a pleasant getaway with your pet, here are some common, tips to keep in mind:

  • Make sure your dog is up-to-date with vaccinations and has a current ID tag.
  • Clean off your dog when he/she is wet or dirty, using provided towels, prior to letting them in your tent.
  • Clean up after your dog and dispose of any waste.
  • Notify the campground of any dog accidents immediately and request special cleaning efforts.

This is the worst experience I have had, without any exaggeration. To start off, everything was delayed. The lunch was served very late, after repeatedly asking for the same. The activities were very poorly managed or rather not managed at all. A rope, football etc were just left on the campgrounds for those who wished to play. But nothing was organized. This place is also ridiculously overpriced, RS 420 for a kingfisher. The washrooms were in a very bad condition, because of which we avoided using it as much as we could. The tents were set up extremely close to each other, and it got unbearably hot, like a furnace in the afternoon. Because of this we had no place to rest , after a long and tiring journey, as this place is extremely inaccessible. It says it is just 30 mins away, from mangaon station. This is untrue. It is close to 1.30 hours away from the station. The transport provided by the resort is ridiculously costly at 2.5k per person, for a pick and drop from the station. Also at night, it got extremely cold. The only sleeping gear provided was a mattress and bedsheet, which made sleeping impossible. If you are charging close to 3 k at least provide some blankets and sleeping bags and decent washrooms. Would only recommend this to people coming in big groups , who have made good arrangements for themselves. Do not depend on this resort for anything. Arrange your own games, transport and sleeping equipment. Then it maybe pleasant. I would have left the place in sometime if I had my own vehicle. Really unhappy. And will not recommend to my enemy. - by Charline Dsouza for Weekends at Forest Campground organized by Forest Hills at Tala .
