Details

Forum Purple Run is an initiative by FORUM to raise awareness about Alzheimers so that people can recognize it and procure the right treatment.

Alzheimer’s is a progressive and irreversible neurological disorder that impairs basic neurological functioning. It is the 5th leading cause of death in people over 55 years of age, and in India, more than 4 million people suffer from some form of dementia.

A run for awareness, sensitivity, and dignity - Forum Purple Run is the only run that brings together the entire family to run for a prime cause.

Forum Purple Run event will be held across 7 Malls in 6 Cities:

  1. Forum Mall Koramangala, Bangalore
  2. Forum Neighbourhood Mall, Bangalore
  3. Forum Vijaya Mall, Chennai
  4. Forum Fiza Mall, Mangalore
  5. Forum Sujana Mall, Hyderabad

  7. Forum Celebrations Mall, Udaipur

Special Note:

  • Timing Chip is mandatory to compete for the first 3 places in all the 4 categories. Ranks and prizes will be given to those with Timing Chip only.
  • For 21Km the minimum age to participate is 18 years and for 10Km, 5Km & 3Km run all minors must be accompanied by adults.
  • Last date for entry for each category is 26th Sep 2018, Thursday, 9 pm or as soon as running places are filled, whichever is earlier.

Guidelines

  • For all onground registrations, all duly filled application forms must be submitted ONLY to Forum Purple Run Representatives or at the helpdesk at the mall.
  • Registrations will be accepted only with submission of duly filled original forms. Copies of the application form will not be considered for registration.
  • Only one applicant can apply for Forum Purple Run using a single form.
  • Do not register for more than one race category. An applicant can apply only for one race in the Event. An application form received with two options chosen will be rejected. Multiple applications from a single participant will entail in rejection.
  • Please thoroughly go through all relevant information and FAQs before filling in the application form. Before sending in your application, please check if you
  • Have enclosed or paid the requisite application fees.
  • Have read through and accepted the Terms & Conditions and Event Rules & Guidelines in the application form
  • If any discrepancy is found in any of the above mentioned mandatory requirements, your application will not be accepted. Requests for cancellation and thereby, a refund will not be entertained. Further, application fees shall not be refunded by virtue of non- participation, including failure by a confirmed participant to collect her BIB.
  • Application Confirmation: Participants will receive an email confirmation on their registered email id for online registrations and a registration acknowledgment (coupon) for on-ground registrations. If you are unable to receive the confirmation, please contact Forum Purple Run team members.
  • The city police department reserves the right to cancel permission for the event at any time. In such a situation, or in case the event date or location is changed due to political rallies, natural disaster, force majeure or any other event outside the control of organizers, the organizers will hold the event at the next available and convenient date. In such a case there will be no refund of registration fees.
  • No participants will be allowed inside the holding area without their running BIB pinned on front of their T Shirt. Every runner must wear his/her running number BIB on the front of the vest. Any mutilation, fold, alteration or damage to the BIB will amount to disqualification of the runner from the Event.
  • Organizers reserve the right to stop any participant who is found medically unfit to continue in the opinion of the official medical personnel. Organizers are not responsible for any loss of baggage and belongings.
  • Participants without timing chip will not be able to compete for prize money in any of the run categories.
  • Winners will be decided as per the net time and not gun time.
  • Organizers decision regarding winners positions are final.
  • Participants are requested to cooperate with the police and security personnel deputed at the event venues and on route. Participants/supporters are liable to random checking on race day this for security purposes.
  • Rights of admission is reserved.
  • Your entry can be rejected on any of the grounds listed below.
  • Incomplete form submitted
  • Waiver not signed
  • Mutilated form/currency notes submitted
  • More than one application received from the same applicant
  • Short receipt or non-receipt of entry fee
  • Running places are full
  • Any other relevant reason deemed by the management

BIB collection:

  • It is mandatory for the participant to collect his/her running number personally from the Forum Purple Run (Forum Mall) venue on the said dates. In case of unavoidable circumstances, he/she can send a representative along with the copy of e-mail confirmation or coupon to collect running number on his/her behalf.
  • All confirmed participants/their authorized representatives are required to come to the venue in respective cities on 27th, 28th and 29th of September 2017 between 10 am to 9 pm in order to collect their running number BIBs. No running BIB will be posted to an individuals mailing address nor distributed on race day, i.e. 30th Sep 2017.
  • Participant/Authorized representative must carry with him/her (a) the email confirmation sent by Registration Team (b) photocopy of photo-identity proof (Aadhar card, PAN card or passport) of the representatives and the confirmed participant.

Terms and Conditions

I declare, confirm and agree as follows that I/my ward,

  1. Have given true and complete information in this application form and me/my ward is/am solely responsible for the accuracy of this information.
  2. Have fully understood the risk and responsibility of participating in Forum Purple Run or any event outlined in this application (collectively the event) and will be participating entirely at my/his/her risk and responsibility.
  3. Understand the risk of participating on a course with vehicular traffic, even if the course may be regulated/policed.
  4. Understand that l/my ward must be of, and must train to, an appropriate level of fitness to participate in such a physically demanding event and l/my ward have obtained a medical clearance from a registered medical practitioner, allowing me to participate in the event/s.
  5. For myself/ourselves and our legal representatives, waive all claims of whatsoever nature against any and all Sponsors of the event, respective City, all political entities, authorities and officials, all contractors and construction firms working on or near the course, all Forum Purple Run Committee persons, officials and volunteers, and all other persons and entities associated with the event and the directors, employees, agents and representatives of all or any of the aforementioned including, but not limited to, any claims that might result from me/my ward participating in the event and whether on account of illness, injury, death or otherwise.
  6. Agree that if I am/my ward is injured or taken ill or otherwise suffer/s any detriment whatsoever, I hereby irrevocably authorize the event officials and organizers to, at my/our risk and cost, transport me/my ward to a medical facility and/or to administer emergency medical treatment and l/my ward waive/s all claims that might result from such transport and/or treatment or delay or deficiency therein. I shall pay or reimburse to you my/my wards medical and emergency expenses and l/my ward hereby authorize/s you to incur the same.
  7. Shall provide to race officials such medical data relating to me/my ward as they may request. I agree that nothing herein shall oblige the event officials or organizers or any other person to incur any expense or to provide any transport or treatment.
  8. In case of any illness or injury caused to me or my ward or death suffered by me or my ward due to any medical reasons or medical condition during the race or at any time thereafter as a result of the event, regardless or not whether such medical reasons or condition shall have been pre-existing conditions known by me and further regardless of whether I/my ward shall have disclosed, at any point in time, the existence of such reason or condition to any person, none of the sponsors of the event or any political entity or authorities and officials or any contractor or construction firms working on or near the course, or any of the Forum Purple Run Committee persons, officials or volunteers or any persons or entities associated with the event or the directors, employees, agents or representatives of all or any of the aforementioned shall be held liable by me/my ward or my/my wards representatives.
  9. In case of any illness or injury caused to me or my ward or death suffered by me or my ward due to any force majeure event including but not limited to fire, riots or other civil disturbances, earthquakes, storms, typhoons or any terrorist act, none of the sponsors of the event or any political entity or authorities and officials or any contractor or construction firms working on or near the course, or any of the Forum Purple Run officials or volunteers or any persons or entities associated with the event or the directors, employees, agents or representatives of all or any of the aforementioned shall be held liable by me/my ward or my/my wards representatives.
  10. Understand, agree and irrevocably permit respective Forum Mall to share the information given by me/my ward in this application, with all/any entities associated with the respective mall, at its own discretion.
  11. Understand, agree and irrevocably permit the respective Forum Mall to use my/my wards photograph which may be photographed on Race Day and/or during the Expo, for the purpose of promoting Forum Purple Run, at its own discretion.
  12. Shall not hold the organizers and all/any of the event sponsors responsible for loss of my/his/her application form and/or application fee in transit
  13. I/my ward do agree to receive information and offers of various brands/products/services as may be sent to me/my ward by the event promoters (or a person duly authorized by the promoters) on the email address given by me/my ward in this application form.
  14. I/my ward understand and agree to the event terms and guidelines
  15. Organisers of the event shall in no event be responsible for any kind of loss or damage occurred to my belongings. I am solely responsible for the security of my / my wardens belongings.
  16. By signing this form, I consent to the terms and conditions hereof and undertake to indemnify the respective Forum Mall against any loss/ damage/ claim/ liability arising out of any act , omission, negligence, default, failure committed by me / my warden to adhere to the terms hereof.
  17. Exclusive jurisdiction of the Competent Courts at the city in which Forum Purple Run event takes place shall be applicable for any dispute that may arise hereunder.

  • What is the last date of registration?

The last day of registrations is 26th September 2018. However, we may close the registrations early if all our slots are filled. We request you to register early and not wait till the end. We will announce the dates on our Website, Face book page and other Social media.

  • Can I register on race day of the event?

No. Requests for registration will not be entertained post closure of registration dates.

  • What is the minimum age eligibility for each race category?

For 21km the minimum age to participate is 18 years and for 3km, 5km & 10km run all minors must be accompanied by adults.

  • How will my entry acceptance be intimated to me?

Every participant will receive participation confirmation via an e-mail for online bookings and on ground, you will receive a registration acknowledgment.

  • Can I register for more than one race?

No. An applicant can apply only for one race in the Event. An application form received with two options chosen will be rejected. Multiple applications from a single participant will entail in rejection.

  • Can I transfer/cancel my registration? Will there be any refund?

Sorry, no cancellations are possible and registration fees are non-refundable.

  • Can I run with somebody elses running BIB on race day?

No. All participants race day images will be screened visually after the race and if any of the participants is found not wearing the running number BIB allotted to him/her, the participant registered for that BIB will be disqualified from the race.

  • Can I fill a single application form on behalf of all the members of the group participating in the event?

No, each member/ runner needs to fill individual application form with all the mandatory fields duly filled and necessary documents attached.

  • On what grounds can my entry be rejected or declared invalid?

Your entry can be rejected on any of the grounds listed below.

  • Incomplete form submitted
  • Waiver not signed
  • Mutilated form/cheque/demand draft/currency notes submitted
  • More than one application received from the same applicant
  • Short receipt or non-receipt of the entry fee
  • Cheque or demand draft submitted not cleared by the Bank
  • Running places are full
  • Any other relevant reason deemed by the management

  • Once applied can I cancel my entry and get a refund?

Once you have applied, request for cancellation and refund will not be entertained.

  • Can you deliver or post me my Running Number BIB?

No. All participants must come to the Forum -  Forum Purple Run venue (respective malls) to collect their BIBs.

  • Do I need a timing chip to be eligible for competition?

Yes. To compete for the first 3 places in the 3 Km and 5 Km run, you will need a Timing Chip. Ranks will be given to those with Timing Chip only.

  • Will I be ranked without a timing chip?

No. Your official time & rank will be available to you only if you purchase a timing chip which entails an additional cost of INR 150.

  • Can I change race categories once I have registered?

For change in race category, you can visit www.forummalls.in/thepurplerun to contact Forum Purple Run team members of the respective malls.

  • Why is it that I have not received my confirmation email despite registering and making payment?

There could be several reasons:

  • The email might have been blocked by your mail server or treated as spam.
  • The email might have gone directly to your junk mail. Please check your junk mail in this case.
  • Error in email id given at the time of registration.
  • You could contact the Registration team at (mall specific email addresses, contact numbers of the representatives) with the following details: Full Name, Run category and Transaction details.

  • I have made a mistake in one of my registration fields. How do I correct it?

Please send an email to with the correct details to Forum Purple Run team members of the respective malls.

  • Am I entitled to any discount?

There are no discounts we provide except for bulk bookings. You can avail a discount of 30 % on bulk booking of 100 participants and above

  • What, how and from where do I collect my race BIB?

You can collect your Bibs and T-Shirt from the mall you have registered for. Please note:
