Beyonce sang – ‘Who run the world? Girls!’ And no truer words ever resonated with the ladies across the world. Of course, every day is a day when women are pushing boundaries, breaking the glass ceiling and most importantly shaping the mindset of future generations. At Rustomjee, we understand that women are the driving force of the modern world and are pleased to celebrate International Women’s Day.
It’s going to a day for women and by women with interesting workshops planned through the day. Starting with a most important aspect which most women tend to ignore in their busy lives – fitness, there will be a Zumba session conducted by Zumba trainer Khusboo. As looking good is also linked to woman’s self-confidence, there will be a special one hour Basic Make-up Workshop conducted by Sudeeksha Dewan which will cover all the essentials like basic skincare, acing base makeup by the correct usage of foundation and concealer. Getting contouring and highlighting right and eye makeup like neutral and smokey eyes. She will also be guiding ladies on the right lipstick shade and the brands to invest in for a personal makeup kit.
Another very important thing for a woman of today to be aware of is self-defense and giving them some very important tips will be the IJKA Academy. During the seminar, women will be presented with various real-life situations and techniques on how to deal with them. Moreover, the participants will get the chance to practice these techniques as well.
Typically in most households, one finds that though women are earning and certainly managing their household expenses when it comes to investments, they would rather leave it to their fathers or husbands. Most women tend to be averse to such money issues and that is where Woomoney comes in to educate women on being efficient investors through their Financial Grooming Workshop. The pertinent concepts of investment will be explained in a simple, ‘Her’ friendly manner. The workshop will be geared to kick-start a learning process about money and investing based on personal financial goals.
Expounding on an important issue concerning women, MUSE will be conducting a Women Hygiene Workshop. The session will educate women on sustainable hygienic methods that they can adopt during menstruation. One of which is switching to reusable cloth pads or menstrual cups. They will inform girls and women about the impact of the use of disposable sanitary napkins on both the user as well as the environment and how sustainable products are the need the hour.
Ladies will enjoy a potluck lunch and can support and encourage women entrepreneurs who will be having stalls selling various products at the venue. In addition, the lovely ladies will get VLCC vouchers entitling them to a 50% discount for their services at the VLCC salon in Rustomjee Urbania.
