Darwesh invites you to hear the lesser known story of Princess Zeb-un-nissa at the Salimgarh Fort where the princess was imprisoned for more than 20 years. Despite leading a wistful life the princess had a mystical take on everything, which was reflected in her poetry. Through the performative storytelling walk, we will dig deeper into the life of this enigmatic woman.

Contribution:

Charges for Single: 650.00 INR / person

Charges for a couple & more: 550.00 INR / person

(Please Note: the contribution does not include the Red Fort entry fee. The fee for Indians above 15 years is 35.00 INR and for foreign nationals 500.00 INR)

ESSENTIALS TO WEAR AND CARRY:
Wear comfortable pair of shoes or slippers.
Carry umbrella or cap to protect yourself from the sun.
Carry a bottle of water and edibles.

HOW TO REACH THE MEETING POINT:

- If you are coming via the metro then please get down at Chandni Chowk Metro Station (which is on yellow line that terminates at Jahangirpuri or Vishwavidyalaya) and take a rickshaw to the Red Fort. You will see barricades and that is where the rickshaw will drop you. The rickshaw should not charge you more than Rs. 20.

- If you are coming via road then park your vehicle at the Red Fort parking and then walk down to the Red Fort Ticket Counter.

A little less standing, a little more colour. The dark narrative can have lighter moments. This was an awesome experience! Just 2 actresses playing the role of several characters and doing justice to what they promised - a theatre walk about the drama surrounding Shah Jahan's succession. It was a balanced act with a narration mixed with the enactments. The stage was a real Mughal era tomb and the set was its architecture.
