Creating Images: Evening photo walk in golden hours & visual design workshop for photography enthusiasts
The workshop is best suited for beginner level photographers, recent DSLR owners, early career photographers and people who are interested in photography & visual design in general. It would be two hour long workshop divided into two sessions: first hour would be an instruction session covering the elements of photography and visual design whereas the second part would include a Photo Walk, a practical application of the first session.
First Session (1 hr long): The workshop will deal with different aspects of photography and visual design such as composition, exposure, lighting, themes, colour theory, typography, etc. Participants can bring their cameras, preferably a DSLR camera but other cameras are welcome too. The workshop would give an understanding of photo concepts, camera operations, and current trends. It would benefit those who wish to better their photography skills.
Second Session (1 hr long): The workshop would move to a more practical session. Photo Walk would include seeking out various themes such urban life, street life & art, landscape, and other themes. You will be able to apply ideas discussed in the first session. You will develop a clear understanding of composition, exposure, colour and lighting through the practice.
Workshop instructor: Atul Anand
Atul Anand is an award-winning photographer and documentary filmmaker. He has a masters degree in Media & Cultural Studies from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. He is currently pursuing M. Phil. in Culture, Media & Governance from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. He has also taught undergraduate students of media and conducted workshops on photography.
