Relive the Mughal Battle of Succession through a theatre walk

ABOUT THE WALK:
The war of succession that took place among the four sons of Shah Jahan had one novelty. While previously, wars were fought after the death of the emperor, this war was fought when Shah Jahan was yet alive. All sons and daughters of Shah Jahan participated in it. While the four sons Dara Shikoh, Shah Shuja, Aurangzeb and Murad Baksh fought against each other, the sisters Jahanara and Roshanara allied themselves with one or the other brother.
Through this theatre walk we will bring to you to the story of the Mughal power of succession that changed the course of Indian history.
This walk will be performed in Hindustani and English by trained theatre actors.
HOW TO REACH START POINT:
- Get down at Kashmere Gate metro station on the YELLOW LINE (that terminates at Jahangirpuri or Vishwavidyalaya metro station),
-Then change to RED Line. Take the metro that terminates at Rithala. Get down at PULBANGASH metro station. Pulbangash is only two stations from Kashmere gate.
-Once you get down from the station take a rickshaw towards Roshanara Bagh, Singh Sabha Road. Come to Gate no 3. The gate is on the way to Roshanara Club. Look for fruit vendors on your left.
