If you want to write as a career, whether for publications or for corporate clients understand the opportunities that exist today, and how to access them.

Its a good time to be a writer in India! With the rise of content marketing, all kinds of brands need writers, besides traditional and new publishers.

Over the years, Womens Web editors have published thousands of impactful pieces of writing, and know what makes some pieces tick, while others simply dont work. Join us at a half-day freelance writing workshop in Mumbai, Bangalore & Delhi to understand what clients want, and build your writing career.

This workshop does not teach you how to write; but if you can write, it will help you achieve your dream of becoming a professional writer.

What we cover:

  • Identify your writing niche: learn what niches exist and how to identify a niche appropriate for you.
  • How to build and showcase your portfolio
  • How to write a pitch so clients/editors take note of you
  • How to access opportunities with businesses/enterprises

Aparna Vedapuri Singh is the Founder and Chief Editor of Womens Web. Aparna graduated in Journalism, English Literature and Psychology from Mount Carmel College, Bangalore and went on to do a post-graduate diploma in Communications (PGDC) from the prestigious Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad (MICA).

Since 2000, she has worked in Marketing & Business Development at global organizations such as AC Nielsen, Symrise, and Frost & Sullivan.

In 2010, Aparna decided to return to her first interest: the business of words, and started Womens Web, perceiving a need in the Indian market, for an authentic market that served all of womens interests, beyond classically feminine subjects alone.

Since then, she has grown Womens Web to become an integral part of Indian womens daily reading, and a community that now boasts over 2000 high quality, vetted contributors.
