About the speaker:

Niwin Santhosh, CEO & Co-founder, Vajro

  • He started his first company in the 3rd year of Undergraduate program and has been running the company till now
  • The initial set of apps he built was for Windows Phone platform & his first app there got over 2 Millions installs globally
  • His 2nd app was an unofficial app for Flipkart which ranked number 1 in the App Store, until Flipkart launched their official app for Windows platform. The app was featured officially by Nokia in their social media pages
  • He built his current startup from scratch→ from nothing to a million dollar company without any funding

About Vajro:

  • Vajro is an easy to use Mobile App Builder, available for E-Commerce Stores
  • It helps them to instantly build a beautiful & a fully native mobile app for their brand

About Niwin’s journey-A story of failures, the hard lessons learnt & finally getting it right

  • As a student, he built a few small products, made good revenue & got a little fame.
  • But when he decided to start something big, he didn’t realise a product and a business are two different things.
  • They spent all savings & profits in building the first big startup and failed miserably…lost every single thing
  • Then came the second idea for starting up, which is their current company, Vajro. They entered into a new market, building a SaaS platform for E-Commerce entrepreneurs when they knew nothing about building a SaaS company or E-Commerce entrepreneurs (or any entrepreneurs for that matter)
  • They spent almost 2 years shaping the product to cater to a partnership only to realise that partnership doesn’t yield enough revenue to retain even one employee in their team
  • At one point they decided to shut down the company in the following quarter if nothing substantial happened.
  • And eventually, they survived all the above.
  • From the verge of shutting down to a 7 figure monthly revenue, a team of 20+ & a 8000 sq ft office, they’re now rapidly growing

What will be discussed?

  • How to enter & do well in a market where you have ZERO experience
  • Tips for startups to gain initial traction
  • Getting work done within timelines
  • Generating a consistent revenue to break even & keep going
  • How to face emotional challenges and take the hard decisions
  • Keeping your team inspired during the bad financial times
  • How to say no in business without ruining a relationship

Who should attend?

  • People who are just starting up or want to startup
  • People who are struggling with:

-Team building-Consistent revenue-Emotional turbulence as a founder-The way ahead

  • Founders who are on the verge of shutting down
  • Student Entrepreneurs
