What is Energy? It is a simple question but is notorious for troubling even esteemed physicists. Students use energy as a word, as a concept, and as a physical quantity that can be calculated almost every day. But what does it really mean?
In this workshop, we lay the foundation for the concepts of Kinetic Energy and Potential Energy in a fun and interactive manner. Physics is never more fun when it is learnt through activities like stick-bomb, where elastic potential energy is given an explosive (but safe) demonstration.
Tentative list of Experiments:
Crater Impact (advanced experiment)
Understand the difference between force and energy
Appreciate the law of conservation of energy
Be clear about the different forms of energy and its conversion
