Kaavad Katha - Maya, a performance by Akhshay Gandhi (Writer & Performer) in collaboration with Rohit Bhasi (Visual Artist), is a contemporary interpretation of the ancient storytelling form of Kaavad Katha from Rajasthan. Originated and popularised by traveling bards of yore as a way of telling stories around epics, folktales and family trees of local patrons, the contemporary version created by Akhshay Gandhi has been woven around stories written by Akshay himself and covers issues both ancient and contemporary, with a great deal of humor and insight thrown in.
So gather with family and experience traditional storytelling form from Rajasthan sitting at your home.
Watch it on your mobile phones, laptop or stream it on the television screen.
