Founded in 2011 by Ananth Menon and Vasudev Prabhu, By2Blues is one of India’s finest acoustic blues bands, and perhaps the only trio of its kind. With over 200 shows to its credit, By2Blues presents the blues with refreshing simplicity and honesty. The band is known for being true to the blues as an art form and for weaving together a sound that’s unique, refreshing and surprisingly powerful. By2Blues has performed at music festivals, corporate shows as well as several well-known pubs and lounges in Bangalore, its home city, and in other parts of the country.
By2Blues plays the blues in a highly original style that is both distinct and engaging. The band’s sound is a blend of powerful vocals, rock-solid rhythm, and soulful harmonica.

About Artists

Ananth Menon is a well-known blues vocalist and guitarist. His singing & guitar work is distinct and highly stylized and he is a sought-after sessions player. Easily one of India’s top blues voices, Ananth has played at many prestigious festivals and has performed throughout the country and abroad.

Vasudev Prabhu (Dev) is one of the country’s well-known blues/blues-rock harmonica players. Dev’s musical style has been shaped by traditional, post-war blues as well as modern blues-rock that is both dynamic and highly expressive.

Joe Anthony is a versatile percussionist. Joe’s astute and energetic percussion style is both sensitive and progressive and is infused with the dynamic energy synonymous with accomplished musicians and performers.

I feel the idea of doing the magic show, the venue and the magician were excellent. Also, the environment was friendly, supported by adequate rest rooms, lift and food served at the chairs! All in all a lovely evening. Axe is a talented person, came across as an expert with some breath-taking tricks that stand out in comparison with the usual shows that do not allow much interaction with the performer. Axe also has a great personality. The organisers are impressive and high quality individuals, making the event a great experience.

There are however improvements that need to be made to not lose a great advantage ( the event could have been wow! Outstanding!). The organisers are well aware of the extreme delay and mic problems. What could be further improved is the flow of the show - could be designed better and a better narrative from the performer - by Srinivas Ghanagam for The Oblivion - With Axe organized by Jus Trufs .
