Book 2: Grandma's Bag of Stories
Date: 8th (2-5 PM) & 9th (10 AM - 1 PM) February 2020
About the workshops:
Books have this wonderful ability to transport us to another world. We have heard the saying, there is nothing out there like reading! The joy of Anubhava taps into that feeling to facilitate workshops and programs where we use different art forms- Music, Theatre, Photography, Storytelling, Creative Writing, Drawing, etc. to explore the books.
We get into the skin of the characters. We time travel into the timelines described in the book. We understand and interpret the emotions depicted in the book. We visually represent the story as a whole. We ask key questions about the books. Why did the author choose to begin or end the story in a certain manner? Why did the characters behave this way? Would the story be different in a different timeline or context? If you were the author, what changes would you suggest?
The joy of Anubhava announces two 2-day workshops covering two books to immerse ourselves in the questions and activities described above at Kavade, Seshadripuram. First, we have a workshop on R.K. Narayan's classic book- Swami and Friends on 1st and 2nd February 2020! Second, we have a subsequent workshop on Sudha Murthy's beloved book- Grandmas Bag of Stories on 8th and 9th February 2020.
Participants have the choice of choosing 1 workshop covering 1 book or they can choose to attend 2 workshops on both books at a discounted price!! If you want your children to spend their weekends reading, analyzing, interpreting, sharing, and learning while having immense fun at the same time, this is your chance! Workshops are designed for 9-14-year-olds!! Register now for your children to experience a hands-on, innovative, and creative workshop!!!
