Guti Aloo Til Di Bhaja
Crispy fried Marble potatoes slathered in a smooth black sesame paste. This is a special variety of potatoes that doesn’t grow any larger than the size of a marble, had its roots Northeast India and has recently made its way to the western parts of our country.
Taro Leaves and Stem in spicy peppery and mildly tangy gravy.
Zika/Joha bhul Murighanto
A preparation of fish head with Ridge gourd or Fragrant Sponge gourd.
Amlokhi’r Masor Tenga Anja
Masor Tenga/ Sour Fish Curry is a signature fish curry of Assam. Though the most popular version is the one with tomatoes, I would go for the one with Goose berries, as it has always been a hit recipe with my guests.

Posola Murgi Manngsho Jalukia
Chicken prepared with tender Banana Shoots with a hint of Sichuan Pepper.
Duck slow cooked with Ash Gourd is one of the coveted recipes of Assam, served to guest as a gesture of gratitude and affection.
Pura bengena aru Bilahi Pitika
A mash of Roasted Aubergine and Tomatoes..
Panitenga Aloo Pitika
Panitenga- fermented mustard paste is a part of quintessential traditional Assamese platter. It is had just as it is and tastes even better when added to mashed potatoes.
Smoked Fish Bamboo Shoot Chutney
An absolutely delicious chutney of River fish that has been smoked for weeks with some bamboo shoot, garlic and chillies.
Maan Dhoniya Chutney
A chutney comprising of Burmese coriander and Raw Mango
Black Rice Pudding
Fragrant Sticky Black rice slow cooked in full fat milk until soft and luscious. Served with some dry fruits and shredded coconut, I hope this would be a perfect sweet ending to your Assamese food trail.
Phalap Smoked Tea
A special organic Tea that has been traditionally processed by aging in Bamboo Hollows for weeks to even years by Singpho community of Assam and is known to have a bounty of health benefits.
