Sri Sri Ravishankar: There was a special child, with an extraordinary wisdom and he could recite the Bhagavad Gita at the age of four. The same child in 1982, entered a ten-day silence to attain the gift of Sudarshan Kriya, an inspirational, poem like phenomenon, as he calls it, a very unique and powerful breathing technique which is well known to the modern yoga world. Today he is renowned as Gurudev Sri Sri Ravishankar or “Guruji” as his disciples address him with devotion. Sri Sri Ravishankar is a symbol of peace, love, and humanity. Justifying his name, he reaches out to the darkest areas of this world and spreads the light of nonviolence and brotherhood. He took his first lessons of spiritual knowledge from his first teacher Sri. Sudhakar Chaturvedi, a Vedic scholar and a close companion of Mahatma Gandhi. He established the Art Of Living foundation, a non-religious, non-profit organization with the vision of a violence-free, stress-free society. The International Association for Human Values, a Geneva-based NGO founded by Gurudev, engages in rehabilitation and rural development works. He has visited countries like Iraq and Pakistan as a messenger of peace. His recent efforts for peace in Ivory coast, Cameroon, Kashmir, and Mexico have gained global attention. Strongly believing and recommending the concept of “Vasadhaiva Kudumbakam”, which considers the whole world as a family, Gurudev shows us the real art of living and he hopes for a better world harmonized with love, compassion, and peace.

Coudoux Yogi: The audience and viewers of the Guinness world Record Prime Show watched breathlessly as a man warped himself into a small plexiglass box on the stage. This extraordinary being is none other than Yogi Coudox from France. His Holiness Yogi Codoux was born in 1946 in Tibet and later moved to Paris, France. For many years he has traveled the world spreading the message of Yoga in order to reveal its extraordinary capacities on the human body, mind, and soul. He is the World Record holder to be kept locked up for more than six minutes in a transparent box of 40x41x50cm for a size of 1.80m and 80kg. Yogi Coudoux is still the only one in the world to have been buried alive under 30 cm of earth for 24 hours and to have been locked up for 56 minutes in the small transparent box under water without any external oxygen supply. Under the control of a team of cardiologists, Yogi Coudoux also showed the possibility of man to control the heart by stopping heart pulsations more than 20 seconds. Following the shows, Yogi Coudoux published two books about his career and an apprenticeship with Kung philosophy of Yoga, a science he had created at the age of 8 years. Today, Yogi Coudoux dedicates himself to the Buddhist center by proposing various activities based on his knowledge and the improvement of health by natural techniques. Sister Jayanti: Her Holiness Brahmakumari Sister Jayanti is a perfect synthesis of love and wisdom and an ambassador of peace. She was born in 1949 in India and She has made her life into a tireless work for peace and women´s rights. Her secret recipe is a blend of Eastern wisdom and Western culture and education. She travels worldwide spreading the message of peace and giving erudite commentaries on spiritual and life-related topics. Sister Jayanti is a broadcaster, a speaker and an emissary for peace. Her efforts spread to various areas of the society including women empowerment, environmental protection, and guiding the youth. She plays a major role in planning and implementing the activities of the Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University, as its European Co-ordinator. The activities of the university are stretched over 84 countries. She has a unique ability to impart the deepest spiritual truths with the utmost clarity. Her prominent lecture themes have included health, education, racial harmony, women´s needs, religions of the world, peace and international relations, all of which have generated a lot of media interest. She was one of the delegates to the International Women’s Year Conference – 1975, held in Berlin. This conference preluded the start of the United Nations Decade for Women. Sister Jayanti believes that the underlying reason for the crises that the world face today is the erosion of spiritual values. She works relentlessly to promote positivity, humanity and spiritual values to all areas of the society. Sister BK Jayanti is a member of Executive Committee of the World Congress of Faiths and the Advisory Body of the International Interfaith Centre and an Advisor to the Council for a Parliament of the World´s Religions. Geeta Iyengar: Her Holiness Geeta Iyengar was born in 1944 into the abode of yoga, as the eldest daughter of the venerable master and founder of the renowned Iyengar yoga method, Yogacharya Sri B.K.S Iyengar. Introduced into the world of yoga from an early age, Geeta Iyengar is adept in yoga practices and is described as “the world’s leading female yoga teacher”. After graduating from high school in 1961, she began substituting for her father when he was away on international teaching tours. Today she is the co – director of the renowned school of yoga, the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute (RIMYI). She is spearheading the activities of the institute along with her brother Sri Prashant S. Iyengar as well as undertaking her own international teaching tours. She has adapted and modified yoga to the specific requirements of women. Specific asanas, pranayama, and sequences are given for different stages in a woman’s life including menstruation, pregnancy, postpartum, and menopause. Her Holiness Geeta Iyengar explains the application and benefits of yoga in various levels of body, mind, and soul. She is a renowned teacher who has trained thousands of yoga enthusiasts from around the world. We find it a blessing to have her in the first International Festival of Yogic Heritage.

Sharath Jois: His Holiness Sri R. Sharath Jois was born into the lap of yoga itself as the son of renowned yoga teacher Her Holiness Saraswati Jois, daughter of revered Yogacharya Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. He was born into the house of yoga practitioners, on September 29, 1971, in Mysuru. Uner the guidance of his legendary grandfather and mother, he embraced yoga at the tender age of seven. Until he turned fourteen, he experimented various postures and styles of yoga. After grabbing a diploma in electronics from the esteemed university of JSS, Mysuru, he turned completely into the world of yoga. Sri Sharath always knew that he would walk the paths of Ashtanga Yoga paved by his grandfather and mother. He started his formal education on yoga when he was 19. He is an exemplar of sheer perseverance and dedication. His day starts at three in the morning as he set out to the Lakshmipuram Yoga Shala established by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois to practice and then assist his guru. Sri Sharath is the only disciple of Sri K.Pattabhi Jois’s to learn and practice the complete series of Ashtanga Yoga. Today he is the director of K. Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute and also a master there. He reaches the institute before the first student arrives and continues to maintain his discipline and dedication towards yoga. Thousands of his students testify that he is one of the best yoga teachers the world has ever seen. The International Festival of Yogic Heritage is an opportunity to meet and learn from Sri Sharath directly.

Sri Swami Vishweshwarananda Saraswati: In 1982, an Electronic Engineer traveled all the way from Switzerland to the abode of Gods, the Himalayas. He was on a mission assigned to him by his master. His master wanted him to serve the people in this part of the world and so he did. Today he is the most renowned guru, Sri Vishveshwarananda Saraswati. He is a revered master, an enlightened being and above all a lover of humanity. He is the true symbol of purity and virtue and is a true devotee to his master Sri Paramahamsa Omkarananda Saraswati. He was born in 1944 in Rorschach, Switzerland, and had served his country as a pilot. He was influenced and greatly moved by the teachings of Swami Omkarananda, whom he accepted as his spiritual master. He surrendered himself completely to the will of his master. He has chosen the path of renunciation and has embodied in himself from childhood the promise of Brahmacharya’. Swamiji is a true Karma Yogi who bears total devotion and dedication to his master. He has served Swami Omkarananda’s Ashrams in Europe, before his journey to India. His arrival opened a new chapter in the region’s spiritual life. Today he is spearheading the activities of Omkarananda Ashram. He has established many schools to provide educational facilities even in the remote areas. He has also build temples, ashrams, and abodes for saints, teachers, and seekers. Sri Victor Truviano: “A living wonder” is the absolute way of describing Victor Truviano. A true breatharian who draws energy from the subtle sources of the universe, which is otherwise known as prana. Born in Argentina, Victor was devoted to music and was the lead violinist of the Great Orchestra, Lanus City, until a tennis-elbow made him stop playing. That led him to a deep emptiness and this led him to the magic of pranic healing. He followed a 21 day assisted fasting with 7 dry days (no food) and lots of silence. Since then Victor Truviano is the one who does the impossible. In a world wherein thousands die of hunger, Victor is a ray of hope.From the last 9 years, this Mystic is feeding on the vital energy of the universe, definitely an infinite source. Victor sleeps less, hardly two to four hours a day and sometimes he doesn’t sleep at all. But he is the ultimate source of inspiration for the people who come to him. According to Victor Breatharianism is a special call. in this world, where we struggle and race so hard for the daily bread, where we predict a war for water, Victor Truviano stands out with a strong aura of chi around him with an ever smiling face and kind eyes.

Sri Abhinava Siddaroodha Swamiji: His Holiness Sri Abhinava Siddaroodha Swamiji is the Pontiff of Sri.Jagadguru Shanmukhaaroodha matha, Vijaypura, and Shaantashrama, Hubli. He is a renowned spiritual leader who belongs ‘Aaroodha Heritage.’ He is the successor of most revered master, H.H Jagadguru Sri. Abhinava Shivaputra Swamiji of Vijaypura. Swamiji’s grand master H.H. Sri Shivaputra Swamiji who is renowned as “Aroodha Jyothi (the light of Aroodha Heritage),“ is a completely enlightened master and a prolific writer of many prominent scriptures. Swamiji received initiation from his Guru, the Vedantic Master H.H Jagadguru Abhinava Shivaputra Swamiji of Vijayapura. Swamiji started his spiritual voyage at a very tender age and took his yogic education in the popular school of yoga, the Rishikul Yogashala. His thirst for knowledge made him explore more about Vedic, tantric and yogic traditions. He has travelled around the world experiencing spirituality at its best. He is an expert scholar in Bhagavat Gita, Vedanta and a specialist in Buddhist yoga tradition. Swamiji is adept in spiritual discourses is an acclaimed master in Hatha Yoga. Students and teachers from various parts of the world practice yoga under him. Sri Abhinava Siddaroodha Swamiji is a highly revered master in South India who is well known for his expertise in the concept of third eye awakening. Swamiji bears the spirit of yoga wherever he goes and strictly follows the path of spiritual endurance. The world much appreciates his vast knowledge and his efforts for the preservation and expansion of the yogic community.

Sri. Amma Nanammal: In this world where we find excuses to push away our responsibilities and dreams, Amma Nanammal stands out as a true inspiration. She is 97 and still pursues her yoga practices without fail.She was born in a middle-class family in Coimbatore,Tamilnadu and learned yoga from her grandfather when she was ten years old. Since then she has never skipped the practice and is making a statement that age is just a number. Being a regular practitioner and a firm believer of yoga and its potential, she never had to consult a doctor for any sort of physical or mental illnesses. Today she is a renowned teacher who teaches nearly 100 students daily. Her disciples include people from various parts of the world and age groups ranging from 6 – 70. All of them testify unanimously that she is an amazing teacher and all they want is to achieve her fitness level. All of her family have accepted the yoga way of life and strictly follows it. Wearing a sari, the traditional Indian costume, she performs the astounding asanas with much ease. She is an expert in Silambattam, an Indian martial art using sticks as a weapon and has won several awards for the same. People like her who are true symbols of dedication and passion are the true assets of the yogic heritage. Her presence will raise the spirit of the International Festival of Yogic Heritage and will motivate its participants to hold on to the yoga way of life.

Dr. H.R. Nagendra: Pujya Sri. Dr.H. R. Nagendra is renowned as an expert in ‘human engineering’. He is a pioneer of Cyclic meditation, a yoga technique where the practitioners perform slow conscious physical movements.Sri Nagendra is an Indian mechanical engineer, writer, academic, and one of the best yogic experts of this century. He is the founder vice chancellor of Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana (S-VYASA), one of the best, deemed Yoga universities in India. He is best known as the personal yoga consultant of Narendra Modi, the prime minister of India. He has received the of Yoga Shri title from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.He has penned 35 books and over 100 research papers on various topics in Yoga.The Government of India awarded him the civilian honor of the Padma Shri, in 2016, for his contributions to society.Dr. Nagendra has held research posts in a number of esteemed international universities and research centers, including Harvard University. From 1970 to 1971 he was a post-doctoral research associate at NASA and in 1975 he joined the Vivekananda Kendra, a service mission. Dr. Nagendra has served on many expert committees and boards advising governments and other bodies and have received numerous awards and distinctions for his contributions to yoga therapy and yogic education.

Dr. Sri Pranav Pandya: The best spiritual scientist of our times, Pujya Dr. Pranav Pandyaji is renowned world over for his efforts through the All World Gayatri Pariwar, an organization spread across 80 countries which work tirelessly for the betterment of the world. Dr. Pranav Pandya is a gold medalist in medicine MD but his specialization is in eradicating the illnesses of the society. He is a direct disciple of the well-known master Pujya Pandit Shriram Sharma Acharya. He is the spearhead of the Dev Sanskriti University at Haridwar and the All World Gayatri Pariwar. Under his dynamic leadership, both these establishments have been serving the world through educational and spiritual contributions respectively. Dr. Pranav Pandya is a futurist, who is not only optimistic about the bright future of mankind but also takes relentless efforts to achieve his dreams. Under the guidance of his master, he laid the foundation of the Brahmavachas Shodh Sansthan, for the integration of science and spirituality. In its ultra modern laboratory, scientific aspects of spirituality are studied.The Dev Sanskriti University is developed on the lines of ancient Nalanda and Taxila Gurukuls. His enlightenment was initiated by his Guru, His Holiness Sri Marulashankara Shivayogi, an eminent Yogi who lived the life of ‘Avadhuta’. Sri Vachananand Swamiji studied in detail about various spiritual and yogic traditions from various Yogic schools and ashrams. To quench his thirst for knowledge, he set out to the Himalayas. An efficient teacher, a humanitarian, a true spiritual soul and a scholar in various discourses; Sri Siddeswar Swamiji is one of the most eminent spiritual leaders of this era. The International Festival of Yogic Heritage is a massive yoga event conducted annually by Yogic Heritage. The festival stretches for five days offering an opportunity for yoga enthusiasts to be introduced into various aspects of yoga and to learn from the legends of yoga. The festival is a gathering of spiritual leaders,yoga greats, teachers and seekers from across the world. The event showcases various yoga styles and forms in the heritage of yoga. It also includes workshops, satsangs, seminars, healing, martial arts and several cultural activities.

2. Where is it held?
The festival is held in Mysuru, India which is renowned as the safest city in India. The venue is the 1100 year old Sri Suttur Math, which is an abode of wisdom in Mysuru.

3. What styles or forms are included?

Tickets are categorized on the basis of accommodation:
Shared Accommodation – This ticket costs USD 700 (INR 37,999) and includes food, accommodation (two – shared room), unlimited access to all events and yoga materials.
Single Accommodation – This ticket costs USD 900 (INR 44,999) and includes food, accommodation (Single room), unlimited access to all events and yoga materials,
Children’s Pass – This pass is of USD 150 and is for children below the age of 10 years. There will be a dedicated children zone with various fun activities for the kids. Parents can leave their children with the care takers and can attend the sessions without any concerns about their kids.

6. Do you have country ambassadors with whom I can easily get in touch with?
Yes, every country will have an ambassador who is fluent in their respective native language and in English. The ambassadors will be selected from the participants and will be provided with all the required information regarding the festival. Their details will be updated on our website and on our social media pages, earliest by September.

7. What is the possibility of staying before and after the festival?
You are welcome to check in a day prior to the event i.e. on 2nd October 2017 and you may check out on 8th October 2017. We will be glad to guide you in booking a hotel for any other extension in stay.

8. Should I carry a yoga kit?
You will be given a kit with all the necessary items for the sessions as you check in.

9. Is hot water available in the rooms?
Yes, there is a 24/7 hot water availability in the rooms.

10. Do you have medical facilities at the venue?
We have a qualified doctor and a medical team to support the event.

11. Is the water safe to drink?
Filtered water dispensers are installed at the session areas, dining area and other common places. Kindly remember to carry reusable water bottles.

12. What type of food is provided at the event?
The food provided is 100% healthy, hygienic Indian Sattvic food.

13. Do you have internet and money exchange facilities?
Yes, you may contact the help desk for money exchange. Internet is available for a nominal charge

14. How safe is the place?
Mysuru is the safest place in India and so is our venue. The venue is protected by a compound wall and is heavily guarded. The event also has the support of the local Police.

Yes, you will be eligible for a partial refund which excludes the processing fee of USD 200. (e.g. For a USD 700 ticket USD 500 will be the refund).

18. How good is the accommodation facility?
Your accommodations are arranged in spacious and well-ventilated rooms. The share rooms are provided with two single beds.

19. Do I need a visa to come to India?

20. Should I print the ticket/show on phone?
Either of these are accepted.

21. Will I be given a printed pass/ID card at the entry?
