Around 76 km from Bangalore, Narayanagiri hill nearly 3800 ft in height is one of the lesser known mountain peaks in Karnataka. Sited deep in the countryside near Ramnagaram, is fortified and one can see the remains of a fort wall almost encircling the top of the hill completely. Atop the hill is the Laxmi-Narayana temple, with an exterior of shiny black granite open only during weekends.

A vast number of natural caves can be explored on your way up. The trail takes you from the carved steps on the rock to the thick forest of Jalamangala which hosts a range of small-sized creatures. It is advisable to carry your own drinking water as there is no source of drinking water on top of the mountain. Night trekking this hill is one of the most sought after weekend getaways in and around Bangalore, the weather and the sunrise makes the experience more endearing.

Manchinbele is a small water reservoir located around 50 kms from Bangalore on the banks of Manchanabele lake. Considered as an ideal location for Corporate team outings, this place will rejuvenate your senses and give you your much deserved getaway. With the perfect combination of food, adventure sports and relaxation our outing package offers an enjoyable getaway.

We went for a day trek through Escape2explore. Starting from Bangalore at around 6:30am, we reached Ramanagara base at 8:30am. We were 6 people and were the only ones for the day trek that day. They offered breakfast where people from the previous night's trek were also present. Breakfast included Idli Sambhar, pakoras and bread omelette with tea. It was normal. After the breakfast, we started with rappelling. We had a couple of guys from their side to help us do it and it was definitely worth an experience. We had great fun and had an amazing start to the outing.

After rappelling, we started with the trek. One guy from their side took us through the way. The cool weather with a slight drizzle made the trekking experience wonderful. Clicking pictures in the meanwhile, we took around an hour to reach the top. It started raining at the top adding cherry to the cake. After spending some time, we started descending. It became a bit slippery due to the rain but it was not difficult to keep your feet firmly and get down.

After the trek, we got back to the base at around 2pm to have lunch. They asked our choice and we opted for vegetarian food. We were famishing till that time and the food was good. It was home-made food having Aloo sabzi, dry cabbage vegetable, paratha, rice, pulao and curd rice. They offered some fruits as well. Post lunch, we went for shooting for some time.

Some of us were interested to go for Go Karting and ATV. There was a Play zone nearby and their guy himself took us there. It was not included in the package though and we paid separately there. It was equally good to add to our fun. We then proceeded to the last thing - Kayaking. The guy properly instructed us about how to do it. The water was very dirty though due to rains. Nevertheless, we went for it and it was fun to kayak through.

In the evening, we had tea and returned back to Bangalore around 7:30pm. We would have reached earlier had we not gone for Go Karting. But it was worth our time.

Overall, it was a day well spent and it felt like doing so many things in one day. They handled everything professionally and we had a great day out. :)
