Turning torn bits of papers into a bird paper painting...sounds fun! Isn't it!
This new mini collage workshop will be conducted by Bangalore based artist Shirupa Gupta, who creates collage paintings using torn bits of handmade/handpainted/vintage papers or ephemera.
In this workshop, Shirupa will teach you how to create an impressionistic collage by tearing and gluing torn bits of papers to create brushmark like strokes over the top of an acrylic underpainting*.
We hope you can join us at the workshop! Registration fees includes all needed materials: Monte Marte stretched canvas 8"x8" underpainting, a flat brush, gel medium, assorted collection of papers. You are free to bring your own colorful papers and ephemera that you may want to include. Just make sure that the papers you bring along are easily tearable. (Complementary snacks and drinks included)
Rs. 2500 includes materials ( limited seats only)
Sunday, May 13th, 10:00 - 1:00 PM
*underpainting is a simplified acrylic painting of the subject that one uses as base for collage. The colors and tones act as a guideline/map while gluing the papers. Shirupa will discuss the process in detail during the workshop.
Finished project will be an 8"x8" songbird collage
