The BCCO management is always working to build the best orchestra for its esteemed city. "The Bangalore City Chamber Orchestra (BCCO) is a professional orchestra based in the city of Bengaluru, India. In May 2018, it debuted its first season with rage reviews and full house concerts. The Bangalore City Chamber Orchestra intends to be a season-based program for Indian professional instrumentalists and players of high standard working with world-class performers, singers and conductors from abroad to give Bangalore audiences their very own city orchestra to experience the beauty of music steeped in lush classical tones without having to travel outside the state. The Repertoire for this year include works by Shostakovich, Mozart, Elgar, Bernd, Gluck, Schubert and more.."

"Belgian violinist and conductor, Joris Decolvenaer, received his orchestral conducting training at the University of Leuven (Belgium) with Ivan Meylemans (assistant conductor Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Amsterdam) and at the conservatory of Lille (France) in the class of Jean-Sébastien Berreau, Laurent Goossaert and Alexandre Bloch.
As a chamber musician, he was a member of the Zerkalo Quartet, a string quartet based in Brussels. Trained by members of the Alban Berg Quartet; Prazak Quartet, Danel Quartet, and Diotima Quartet, they regularly play concerts in Belgium, France, Germany, Spain and Italy. Decolvenaer is a laureate of several music competitions, for instance, the Supernova -The Future Sound of Classical Music and Leos Janacek International Competition. He also got awarded the Vocatio scholarship of Belgium. As the conductor of the Bangalore City Chamber Orchestra, we are privileged to have him for a second season after a fantastic set of performances in 2018.”
