Pottery is an art that involves the five elements of nature(air, water, fire, space & earth). Be it the art of shaping the forms from a lump of clay or developing the ideas of making functional articles, pottery is highly therapeutic & satisfying.

Course Details: The 6-day course will start off with an introductory session to the hand building and wheel throwing techniques of pottery. Further, the classes will help you to explore the techniques to build multitudes of products and forms.

In hand building, the participants will be developing vases, plates, tiles, etc with pinching, coiling & slab making methods. Also, we will be continuously practicing wheel throwing in which one can experience how the medium works and experiment with various symmetrical forms. From basic cylindrical vessels to miniature pottery pieces, the practice of wheel throwing is an exciting process of the course.

Course fees: Rs. 5000/-

(Inclusive of Firing charges up to 5 pieces)

6 sessions (Rs. 5000) (Weekdays -Thursdays & Fridays)

Age: 14 and above

This class is specially designed to suit the times of people who don't plan their lives around weekends only. They believe that life/ passions can be lived on weekdays too. Also, we understand that for a long-time commitment, there will be few weekdays where you will be traveling/have other plans- so the flexibility of the sessions above takes into consideration the same. We also understand that it takes a minimum of 6 sessions to understand or work on a skill and thus the classes. Choose any 6 Wednesdays and Fridays and pick up a skill or two :)

Facilitator: Betsy Gomez

A Designer by graduation & a ceramic artist by passion with an intense urge to learn & experiment with pottery art. The love for the medium has always been a great source of interest to make pottery as a serious commitment.
