The Lil' Artiste introductory workshop aims to create an extraordinary gateway for children into theatre and provide them with a new vocabulary of self-expression.

The workshop focuses on exposing participants to the art form of theatre and coaxing them to break their inhibitions & get on stage.
We use hands-on activities to help them develop a unique method of communication (through theatre), fire their imagination, and enhance their creativity.

About the Instructor: Sri Vamsi Matta, has been part of the Bangalore theatre circuit for over 9 years, and a theatre instructor for over 3 years. He has designed theatre-curriculum which has been taught across many CBSE and IB board schools in Bangalore and has worked with over 1000 children. He is passionate about bringing the art form of theatre to children, who are the purest reflection of society and have the ability to shape the future. He hopes to provide children with the tools of theatre to engage, enlighten and motivate youth towards productive and fulfilling lives as members of society.

He has also been part of various theatre festivals across the city - Rangashankara Theatre festival, Bangalore Theatre league, BOAT to name a few. He is the founder of Chandrato Collective - a theatre collective that consists of theatre artists who produce and perform new-age theatre in Bengaluru. Other than producing theatre they also specialize in theatre for education with various theatre programs for schools, housing complexes, and college students. They conduct various theatre-based skill-development workshops/ interventions for corporates. As of now, Vamsi is directing a new production - ‘Lysistrata’, which is touring Bangalore till March 2020.
