Come, make us listen to your words, make friends with your imagination as you find your way to an imaginary world with your poems and us.

Here are space and platform to create and not cater, thus open up new ideas for pre-teens who are increasingly growing up in single kid families, and perhaps don't hang out enough with kids their age and given that living is increasingly in closed spaces.

In this workshop, children work with one prop - a mask. The session will include DIY work and also ask the children to write a poem.

Age Guidance:8 to 12 years

Language: English

Duration:1 Hour and 15 mins

Note: Free Attendance, all material will be supplied but limited to 25 children

About Barnali Ray Shukla:

Barnali Ray Shukla is a writer, filmmaker, and poet. Her creative writing has been featured in journals and anthologies, including Indian Ruminations, Sunflower Collective, OutOfPrint, Kitaab, OUTCAST, Vayavya, Anthology of Contemporary Indian Poetry II, UCityReview (USA) and A Portrait in Blues (UK). She was the India-winner of the R L Poetry Award 2016 that resulted in her debut poetry volume, Apostrophe (2018). 

Her debut feature film as a writer-director, Kucch Luv Jaisaa, released in May 2011, is now streaming on Amazon. 

Her documentary film, Liquid Borders (2015), has been screened at film festivals across India, North America, and Europe. Her next documentary film, 'Once Upon A Sky', is in post-production, where she flies and walks with an Indian paraglider. She is currently working on her second book of poems. When she is not doing any of the above she is found trekking in the Himalayas.
