Details

A heritage tour with a difference. This is a tour to Mandya, Channapatna & Ramnagaram to learn more about the industries started by Tipu Sultan. In Mandya he started the sugar industries. In Channapatna, he invited craftsmen from Persia who taught the locals the art of making the famous wooden toys & in Ramanagaram he set up the silk industry.

The guests get to view how sugar is made from sugar cane, the toy making as well as the process of making silk.

The ticket for this tour costs 2499/- and includes transport in an a/c vehicle, breakfast, lunch as well as evening chai.

Note:
1. We need a minimum number of 4 people to conduct any event. In case we don't have such numbers, we reserve the right to cancel the event & issue a full refund to you.
2. For logistical reasons all our walks will have a maximum capacity of just 16 members. 
3. Please book your tickets soon as our walks can sometimes get sold out within days of the bookings opening up.

Its a good experience to walk on a breezy Sunday morning along the lanes of Fraser town with like minded people. It was my first trip to Mosque Road for an iftaar walk. My friends and family have visited before and not had great experiences so I was a little apprehensive before the walk. However, I was blown away by the curation. We went to amazing places and tasted some mouth watering delicacies. The best part was not having to stand in line in the crowd, the organiser took care of all of that. All we had to do was wait a bit and gorge on food. A day later, I'm still thinking about the Khoya Naan, Khichda, Sulemani Chai and Seekh Kebabs. Walk was excellent. The guide knew a lot and shared a lot of stories. Only feedback I would like to give is that the end of the walk should be near the start location. I'm glad I took the tour!Our whole tour was well executed, our guide Mr. Mansoor Ali was an architect by profession which meant that he gave credible explanation to olden architecture. He was also well versed with historical facts which made the trip worthwhile. He gave interesting explanations for the artifacts in the Summer place. the best part was the impromptu trip to the KR market where he showed us the inside working of India's largest wholesale market.
