Storytelling is communication and one of the oldest forms of it. The challenge is to create or recycle/ modify religious stories for general education and entertainment. Grandparents always tell stories, a practice that faded as families became nuclear and became more concerned with economic development. About Trupti Shekhar:
A Manufacturing Engineer by education Trupti has worked with various IT organizations. She has had work experience in areas as varied as support, technical training, software testing and client relationship. She took a sabbatical from IBM to settle into the role of a mother to her twins. While attending a storytelling workshop, she was impacted by the potential that stories had, in creating positive change and decided to join the movement. Since then, she has been telling stories at schools, libraries, literature festivals, bookstores and cultural spaces, in English and Kannada. She intends to use her storytelling skills to spread cheer and inspire change.
