Popularly known as the Cherrapunji of the south, Agumbe is one of the small villages along the Malnad region of Karnataka. Agumbe is also known for its rainforest conservation efforts and also the efforts that many organisations make on promoting the cottage industries in and around Agumbe. This is also one of the most scenic trekking spots that constantly has trekkers and tourists visiting. I went with #muddietrails on a trip to Agumbe and this was my first trip along with complete strangers to an unknown place. I had read the reviews about #muddietrails before I registered with these guys and was pretty convinced these are a good bunch of people who will organise things properly.Almost needless to say, the trip and the trek was extremely fun and very well organized. The bunch of people I trekked and stayed with were fun to hangout with and were extremely helpful and kind all round the trip and trek. While we started the journey from Bangalore, the bus that we had to board was delayed because of some reason and to compensate for that, the organisers booked cabs to a common spot where all could board at the same time in order to save sometime. Along with that, during the journey, the bus driver (was his first time as well I guess with #muddietrails) had some altercations with the organiser, but they handled the situation pretty maturely without causing any inconvenience to the people. While on this trip, I realized there were many people who had been to various places along with #muddietrails, so you can understand how much these guys trust #muddietrails. Some things you'll need to take care about is #muddietrails would ensure you enjoy the trip thoroughly but please do not expect luxury while staying and trekking.A big thanks to Surya Patel, the organiser who had been with us for this trip for making the trip a really enjoyable one. - by Jobin George for Monsoon special - The Agumbe Rainforest Camping | Muddie Trails .

My first Adventures trip with my friends finally we booked into Muddie Trails, I had lot of mixed thoughts will this workout going with strangers lot of things In mind,Finally I decided to go for it, Dandeli Adventures trip Shirky one of the organiser cleared my silly doubts and also Shraddha who was available all the time to pick our calls.TT Pickup was sharp as per the given timing we didnt wait for long. Here we go warm welcome by Crazy Surya leading the Trip I have to say this a guy with FULLLLL of Enegry throughout the Trip opps amazing and Linga raj LRAJ With warm welcome very beautiful smile and hes an Amazing photographer.Friday night started with so much fun while traveling and team ensured that we all are engaged throughtout, The team was amazing friendly atmosphere not even a movement they made us feel boring in site seeing, boating,Kayaking, rafting was too good and homestay camp fire, dance , activities outstanding. When we young generation start loving the nature the nature its self starts loving you .. the clear air to breath and your soul renews it self mother nature is Amazing thing we have in universe to feel and enjoy the greatest experience is to travel and keep on travelling. I encourage getmuddie.com to come up with much more escaping places not only on India but also out of country. All the best guys I will strongly recommend my friends and family to go plan the trip with Muddie Trails. - by Nancy Virgini Mary A for Dandeli Adventures, Water Sports, Camping | By Muddie Trails organized by Muddie Trails .
CONS1) TERRIBLE, oranizers attitude. You say/ask anything to him , he was only in a mood to punch back2) PATHETIC, homestay which is very far from the kodai city (some village named pulmarai). Once you go there you are home prisoned , whatever is your emotion you have to control it as you would be introduced to a fact that the organzer is the only person who can take you back to the city of kodai that too when he wants (which is itenary as per him)3) Itenary said we have a trek (waterfall) on day 1 and rabbit/sheep farm + pine forest + kodai lake with shopping around the lake and cafe on day 2 Nothing from the itenary has been followed , on day 1 we were definitely made to trek but all of us were notsure why we did it as we were taken half way to a canal and told that the waterfall is still 2hours from that place and by then it was already between 4PM-5PM4) On day 2 , we were taken to rabbit/sheep farm few of them enjoyed lake view from there had pics taken as memory (we spent so much we have to) And the best part was the PINE FOREST , the attitude thrown by the orangizer is award winning There was a traffic jam while going to PINE FOREST so 2 of the travellers who were keen to walk asked the organizer that they would walk instead of sitting in the tempo traveller and that makes sense . The organizer has taken this request from them as BUGGING he got ANGRY and then he dropped us at a random park as punishment and didnt take us to PINE FOREST In this entire process all of us survived on lemon juice , maaza, chips, biscuits, mango pieces, corn NO LUNCH on day 2 Yet the organizer wanted us to visit kodai lake but few of us forced him to take us to a cafe on our own cost not my MT because they didnt promise food on day 2 after breakfast (stuck to itenary )and finally we landed up having something really good in the cafe5) Uncomfortable restrooms as they were provdied only for nature calls and used by even the local people We could not take bath for 3 days as no closed bathing area was provided , yes if you are interested you can opt to bath in the open area (which is basic amenity according to Muddie Trials)PROS1) Good part was the lake walk on Day 2 and the cafe that we hanged out on Day 2 Looked like we paid Muddie Trials to take us to a cafe on Day 2 at kodaikanal which is definitely not good as i believe Bangalore has much better places to hangout . We need not have to pay Muddie Trails for kodai package and end up hanging out in a cafe 2) Mafia - looks like it was played good (but other travellers are best in judging this as i didnt play much)3) Some other mobile game introduced by one of the travellers which kept us engaged on Day 1 after the terrible trek(If still Muddie feels that they have provided basic amenities and stuck to itenary , I have no words) - by Satya for The Great Lakes and Waterfalls of Kodaikanal | By Muddie Trails organized by Muddie Trails .
