Sorabh Pant is one of India's best and popular comedians. His take on a little bit of politics and societal happenings, while still sets the crowd on a laughter roll, throws a thoughtful light too. Ranked as one of the topmost standup comedians in India, Sorabh Pant is known for his endless laugh inducing performances. He is India’s one of most successful and sought out comic artists with an experience of doing over 250 shows across the country.

Apart from being a successful stand-up artist, Sorabh is a writer as well. He released his first book Pant 'The Wednesday Soul' in December 2011.
Sorabh forayed into the comedy business truly by accident. He started off his career as a writer for TV and continued to be a writer till when Vir Das introduced him to comedy. In March 2008, he met Vir Das and they did a show together, on CNBC-TV18 called, 'News on The Loose'.
His career in comedy began soaring high, when he started doing the opening act for Vir Das's show, 'Walking on Broken Das'. He worked with Das for three-and-a-half years and then did his first solo act at HQ. In November 2009, he became one of just three Indian comedians to hit auditoriums with his solo show, "Pant on Fire" and since then there have been no looking back for Sorabh.
'Pants on Fire’ and ‘Travelling Pants’ are two of the successful comedy specials by Sorabh, that have been staged in various cities across the country. He has been rated amongst India's top 10 stand-up comedians by The Times of India. In a poll by IBN Live in March 2012, he was listed No. 1 in the 30 most interesting Twitter users in India.
East India Comedy
In 2012, Pant established 'The East India Comedy', one of India's busiest comedy company and over the next year, recruited some of India's top comedians. A team of dynamic comedians including Kunal Rao, Sapan Verma, Sahil Shah, Atul Khatri, Azeem Banatwalla and Angad Singh Ranyal are a part of The East India Company.
