Started as a model, went on to act in several films in Bollywood and even starred in the reality show Bigg Boss back in 2009, this model turned actor currently keeps himself busy by spinning the party animals with his tunes. Be it as a model or an actor or a DJ, over the years Zulfi has worked with heavyweights in fashion, music and even Bollywood.
He first came to limelight when he won Gladrags Manhunt in 1997. He was the 1st runner up in the International Manhunt held in Singapore the same year. The model known for his chiseled looks was later the winner of Kingfisher Bollywood Award 2004 held in New York City and won the best Kingfisher Model award in 2005.
After his wins, the model hit the runway for top designers like Rohit Bal, JJ Vallya, Manish Malhotra, Abu Jani & Sandeep Khosla, Rohit Gandhi, Ravi Bajaj, Sunit Varma, Prasad Bidapa, Sabyasachi, Neeta Lulla, Maurin Wadia, Shaakir Shaikh, Sangeeta Chopra, Lubna Adams, Marc Robinson, Appu & Tanya, Harmeet Bajaj and many more.
The model was first featured in music videos by leading composers and singers like Anu Malik, Shankar Mahadevan, Pankaj Udhaas, Sonu Nigam, Ali Haider, Hari Haran, Junoon etc.
He made his acting debut in Bollywood with the flick 'Pyasa' released in 2002. Though Zulfi worked in several films, his biggest movie was Tajmahal where the actor portrayed the famous emperor Shah Jahan.
The actor later took part in the popular reality show Bigg Boss Season 2. He was a runner up in the show.
Passion for music
The model has always been passionate about music and food and with his background in Hotel Management, Zulfi owns and operates eateries like Hippies Ocean Cafe, Sky Bar, Cafe Lambretta, in Goa, and the popular chain of restaurants called the Boom Box Cafe.
The time he spent in Goa helped him in developing his mixing and production skills as he learned from Indian and international DJs. With years of experience in clubs, the DJ plays with genres like Bollywood, commercial, tech-house and techno.
