Trekking, also known as hiking, is a great outdoor activity for both adventure junkies and nature lovers. This involves walks along either a planned or an unplanned trail across the hills. More of a hill climb and descend, trekking scales through various altitudes in case of intense trekking and lengths of landscapes when it comes to short treks. At any case, it requires stamina to trek through the trails that would involve hours of walking, be it an up hill climb or normal landscape walk.

Camping however, are stay-outs that involve pitching tents, out in the wild or a stay in a caravan far from anything close to civilisation. Camping can either be a fun recreational thing to do, or a break in between rigours long hours of trekking and travelling.
Trekking or Hiking
While 'hiking' is a preferred term in the west, particularly the USA and Canada, in the UK trekking is referred as 'Hill Walking'. In the parts of New Zealand, where trekking is taking a tad seriously with avid trekkers treading across mountains and landscapes, trekking is also termed as tramping.
There are various levels of trekking that are constantly approached by trek lovers. Either there are One Day Treks that are organised by trekking organisations or treks that can be ventured by groups of trekkers, then there are treks that go on for longer periods with involve Camping.

Camping turned out to be quite a popular recreational activity along the 20th Century. With activities like scouts and other travel related activities receiving huge recognition as recreation or a break from the routine, camping added to the fun.
There are various types of camping that adventure junkies can keep experimenting while on the road. To name a few:

The base camp houses the major part of the stay and provisions that the trekkers will need while trekking along the trails. While on a trek that takes more than a day, then the trekkers pitch a tent on stretches of land along the way. The trekkers camping out are sure to make a time of their lives out of it. With some bonfire with the group and some fun games make a great campsite. However, it is necessary that the natural habitat around these places are left undisturbed while camping.
