It was a great event to try new things. Would have been great if we got to know more about making the dye for the block printing and also some hands on related to making the color.

This was my first experience with stand-up comedy as a spectator & i must say i enjoyed every minute of it being there. All 3 of them did a good job but Neelaksh's act was incredible. We were laughing our guts out. Making a person laugh is a very tough job.

Keep up with the quality. All the best.

Sanjay Manaktala was the star of the night, as expected! He got us all to laugh our socks off with All New jokes! I've never heard of Rupen Paul before but I have to say that I'm impressed. All in all an entertaining and hilarious evening that I was so lucky to be part of

About Dialogues Cafe

You usually visit a coffee shop for some retreat and respite from the outward chaos, to do office work in peace. Almost all the cafes today offer free WiFi so that you can get your office work done, while sipping a hot cuppa. However in the back of your mind there’s always the thought of the coffee and food bill burning a hole in your pockets. I am a fitness entrepreneur and a lifestyle coach dedicated to spreading happiness through fitness. Four years ago, I bootstrapped my start-up with no experience in the business of fitness. Aided by my will-power and strength, I steered ahead to manifest an arguably tough pursuit into a hope multiplier, lifting health standards of many, especially women. My plunge into fitness directly associates itself with my acceptance of challenges posed by constant reminders, either beginning or ending with words: you are a woman, you cant do it. As I chose to be both indifferent to the essence of the meaning in those demeaning words, I realise I have reached a stage when these words have proved to be a talisman for me. I chose to undertake my journey to torpedo a belief system that is symbolic of stereotypes that limit the ability of a woman within pre-defined constructs and to hold up a mirror to those who often deter many from reaching greater avalanches of ambitions.

As a published poet, a motivational speaker and an author to be, I hope to inspire, touch and change many lives

It was in the year 1979 when the Russians invaded Afghanistan that my family had to flee from the beautiful Sharanna Village which lies at the south of Afghanistan. Ever since India has been home to our family and I am a proud exponent of two of the richest cultures of the world.

In Bangalore I run fitness clubs, corporate wellness programmes and a charity organisation for underprivileged kids. In a long run, I wish to bring more children to sports and more sports to children. Sports builds a character in a person, it contributes to an overall personality. And that's what inspires me: contributing to human growth.

When I was twenty one, I traveled to Mumbai in my humble pursuit of film making. I didn't know anyone in Mumbai and thus had to undergo the void of a newcomer. I cant forget those difficult memories of staying in a 25 rupees a day dormitory swarming with people, that dormant feeling of an outsider lost in the chase of an elusive dream. If I could come out of that personal abyss, I can survive anything. Yes, it is my own past that continues to inspire me, I have become an example of the choices I made.

I am a filmmaker who enjoys telling stories through the medium of films. My latest film was an official selection for New York Indian Film festival.

Making films is an inner journey and in that depth of exploration, you realise that life is a large-hearted comedy. We tend to ignore the humour in our fast paced life.

I hail from Udalguri, a very beautiful and a small town in Assam. In my hometown, the entire young generation dreams of moving away to the cities for better job opportunities and when they finally do, they end up missing the hometown terribly.

My story is no different. I moved to Delhi in the year 2010 in search of a job but then didnt like the city, so I moved to Bangalore. In Bangalore, I have learnt a lot after having worked in multiple restaurants and cafes.

One day, I will open my own restaurant where I will serve good food. I will make my friends and family back home proud of me.

(Wonsu aka Probeen works at Dialogues and is a clear favourite of all the customers. He is admired for his smiling personality and a calm demeanour.)

I dont believe in taking right decisions, I take decisions and make them right.

I am a firm believer of this mantra and it has helped me grow as a person and more so as an entrepreneur. There was a time when I was living in the US with a cosy and comfortable job. But then deep down, I had a strong desire build something of my own. It wasnt easy taking this call of shifting to India (out of my American comfort zone) and altogether start a new life. But then I took that plunge and worked hard to make that decision right. I am proud of what I did and looking back at it, I guess that plunge has shaped me as a person.

So my advice to all the youngsters is dont think too much, go and take that decision!!

I am a yet-another-Indian-girl having my own individual ambitions and aspirations. After my graduation, I felt a strong desire to step out of my home: a home of imprisoning expectations, a home of set rules for women, a home where women are socially conditioned to just marry and raise children. And in that search of freedom and financial independence, I took an IT job in Bangalore.

Initially I relished my freedom and made friends with some amazing people. But then after few years in IT field, I realised that while I had my monetary freedom but I did not feel that I belonged there. I was aware that an IT job was just a mere means to step out of my home.

Now I have quit my IT job as well and will take on a job in a start-up which will utilise my creative, communications and behavioral skills.

10 years down the lane, I want to inspire people. When people read my story they should feel inspired to walk the right path. Thats all I want from my life....

As a human rights lawyer and research professional, I routinely work with female sex workers. There is hardly a work day when I am not reminded of what it means to be a woman.

The words that resonate in my mind when I hear about the contribution and struggles of women in many facets of life are strength and resilience. My work has taken me to difficult terrains but the most difficult experience I encountered was being stuck in the Kashmir floods of 2014. A revelation that emerged out of the devastating floods has remained with me till this date. The spectre of unwavering display of strength by Kashmiri women during this calamity has no parallel. I had the privilege to witness the entire rescue operation fore fronted by women with limited means and whose struggles are mostly discounted in everyday life. The larger message for me was that real strength does not lie in picking up arms and calling the act a 'revolution'. Instead, it requires rising to the occasion, in this case a calamity, and navigating through testing times with courage and conviction.

For over 12 years, I lived as a monk, training and serving at a monastery in US. I have also spent considerable time at the Buddhist monasteries in Thailand, Myanmar and India where I participated in several intense silent retreats. And from there with that mission of bringing mindfulness and emotional wellbeing to everyone, I conduct workshops, classes and retreat programs which are scientific and are free from religious beliefs and traditions. I coach people to live in the present moment through blending ancient Eastern wisdom with Western philosophy and modern science.

I am not sure how successful I will be in my mission of a mindful world but I am enjoying this path of living a life committed to simplicity, inner freedom and self-enquiry.
