It was a great event to try new things. Would have been great if we got to know more about making the dye for the block printing and also some hands on related to making the color.

This was my first experience with stand-up comedy as a spectator & i must say i enjoyed every minute of it being there. All 3 of them did a good job but Neelaksh's act was incredible. We were laughing our guts out. Making a person laugh is a very tough job.

Keep up with the quality. All the best.

I am a yet-another-Indian-girl having my own individual ambitions and aspirations. After my graduation, I felt a strong desire to step out of my home: a home of imprisoning expectations, a home of set rules for women, a home where women are socially conditioned to just marry and raise children. And in that search of freedom and financial independence, I took an IT job in Bangalore.

Initially I relished my freedom and made friends with some amazing people. But then after few years in IT field, I realised that while I had my monetary freedom but I did not feel that I belonged there. I was aware that an IT job was just a mere means to step out of my home.

Now I have quit my IT job as well and will take on a job in a start-up which will utilise my creative, communications and behavioral skills.

10 years down the lane, I want to inspire people. When people read my story they should feel inspired to walk the right path. Thats all I want from my life....

As a human rights lawyer and research professional, I routinely work with female sex workers. There is hardly a work day when I am not reminded of what it means to be a woman.

The words that resonate in my mind when I hear about the contribution and struggles of women in many facets of life are strength and resilience. My work has taken me to difficult terrains but the most difficult experience I encountered was being stuck in the Kashmir floods of 2014. A revelation that emerged out of the devastating floods has remained with me till this date. The spectre of unwavering display of strength by Kashmiri women during this calamity has no parallel. I had the privilege to witness the entire rescue operation fore fronted by women with limited means and whose struggles are mostly discounted in everyday life. The larger message for me was that real strength does not lie in picking up arms and calling the act a 'revolution'. Instead, it requires rising to the occasion, in this case a calamity, and navigating through testing times with courage and conviction.

For over 12 years, I lived as a monk, training and serving at a monastery in US. I have also spent considerable time at the Buddhist monasteries in Thailand, Myanmar and India where I participated in several intense silent retreats. And from there with that mission of bringing mindfulness and emotional wellbeing to everyone, I conduct workshops, classes and retreat programs which are scientific and are free from religious beliefs and traditions. I coach people to live in the present moment through blending ancient Eastern wisdom with Western philosophy and modern science.

I am not sure how successful I will be in my mission of a mindful world but I am enjoying this path of living a life committed to simplicity, inner freedom and self-enquiry.

The one thing that defines me is the love of trying new things. Exploring unchartered territories, opening new doors and embracing new pathways continue to excite me.

And in my journey of trying new things, I attended the Goa triathlon last November. It was a momentous experience watching people challenge themselves both physically and mentally. The event was so stimulating that I have decided to undertake it in the upcoming episode. I am preparing mentally and physically for it.

Now, what next after Goa triathlon? I am also gearing myself to complete a full Ironman triathlon.

Unprecedented laughter today at Dialogues. Watch Aditya Shridhar Suman Kumar - Comedian Rajesh Hinduja live. Last two episodes of Break Out Comedy were housefull. Book your tickets now: https://goo.gl/lKueg7
Break Out Comedy
After two episodes of housefull comedy, Dialogues Cafe again presents "Break Out Comedy" an evening of unprecedented comedy. In this edition of stand up comedy, we present to you three of the finest stand-up comedians in the country: Aditya Shridhar, Suman Kumar and Rajesh Hinduja.

Aditya Shridhar is a doctor by day and stand up comedian by night. He has been writing comedy since the age of 16 and performing at shows all over India in the last 2 years. His humour revolves around his misfortunes and his observations of life. Known for his sarcasm and sharp wit, there is no topic which is off bounds.

Suman Kumar is a stay at home dad, movie writer, and a stand-up comic. He was born in Madras, went to school in Chittoor before he worked in a string of really boring jobs.He lives in Bangalore now with his gorgeous doctor wife and their beautiful, six year old daughter (the girls threatened to throw him out of the house if we didnt include them in his bio.)

Rajesh Hinduja is the oldest comedian in the country and discovered his talent for comedy rather late in life. Apparently the talent was hidden so deep down it took a while to emerge !! Two things that confuse him till today are technology and women and when he has to deal with a combination of both the result can be seriously funny .

I hail from a small village in Haryana where women empowerment is very low. The society there provides little opportunities to women ranging from educational facilities to empowerment provisions.

I am very lucky to have a father who struggled hard to protect me and my dreams as a girl child. He allowed me to dream, follow my passions like reading and always stood there when I wanted to.

Currently I am in Bangalore proudly working as an operations manager in a promising startup but when I look back at the challenges my family has borne to make me reach here is really inspiring. I wish that one day I will really make it big and make my dad really proud.
