This was my first experience with stand-up comedy as a spectator & i must say i enjoyed every minute of it being there. All 3 of them did a good job but Neelaksh's act was incredible. We were laughing our guts out. Making a person laugh is a very tough job.

Keep up with the quality. All the best.

Break Out Comedy
After two episodes of housefull comedy, Dialogues Cafe again presents "Break Out Comedy" an evening of unprecedented comedy. In this edition of stand up comedy, we present to you three of the finest stand-up comedians in the country: Aditya Shridhar, Suman Kumar and Rajesh Hinduja.

Aditya Shridhar is a doctor by day and stand up comedian by night. He has been writing comedy since the age of 16 and performing at shows all over India in the last 2 years. His humour revolves around his misfortunes and his observations of life. Known for his sarcasm and sharp wit, there is no topic which is off bounds.

Suman Kumar is a stay at home dad, movie writer, and a stand-up comic. He was born in Madras, went to school in Chittoor before he worked in a string of really boring jobs.He lives in Bangalore now with his gorgeous doctor wife and their beautiful, six year old daughter (the girls threatened to throw him out of the house if we didnt include them in his bio.)

Rajesh Hinduja is the oldest comedian in the country and discovered his talent for comedy rather late in life. Apparently the talent was hidden so deep down it took a while to emerge !! Two things that confuse him till today are technology and women and when he has to deal with a combination of both the result can be seriously funny .

I hail from a small village in Haryana where women empowerment is very low. The society there provides little opportunities to women ranging from educational facilities to empowerment provisions.

I am very lucky to have a father who struggled hard to protect me and my dreams as a girl child. He allowed me to dream, follow my passions like reading and always stood there when I wanted to.

Currently I am in Bangalore proudly working as an operations manager in a promising startup but when I look back at the challenges my family has borne to make me reach here is really inspiring. I wish that one day I will really make it big and make my dad really proud.

Few years back, I got fascinated by the world of cinema and decided to quit engineering to join Bollywood. I even assisted Ram Gopal Verma for his movies but then I was disappointed by the way things worked at Bollywood. It was a very difficult time for me because the hope that this shift from the world of engineering to the world of cinemas would be the best thing to happen turned to despair.

Then I decided to quit Bollywood and decided to move to US where I accidently got a chance to work with SETI (Search for Extra Terrestrial Intelligence), NASA and it was a wonderful experience. I made documentaries in astronomy which was a field of interest to me. Post SETI, I joined New York Film Academy and it was a great learning experience there. And now, I am having the best time creatively as I run the Open Film School where I teach variety of topics in screenwriting and documentary film making.

Now things at Bollywood are surely getting better. If you notice Dangal, the story was a very common one but then the script was very good. I guess everyones story (including mine) is a good story is but what I proudly teach is to convert them into good scripts! Doesnt that sound very satisfying?

My story is a story about my journey of dance. I love dancing as it gives me that perfect contentedness. The joy of losing myself to ultimately finding myself through dance is unparalleled.

The joy of dancing captured me when I was a child. To follow my passion, I even went to Pune where I learnt kathak from a Guru. Those were some of the best days of my life.

But then like all other lives, I too had my share of lows and highs. A phase arrived when my guru fell ill. It became further difficult as I suffered a severe hamstring injury. I found myself struggling to pursue the dreams I always had. I even started to lose hope on dance.

My career aspirations deflected my focus from the severities of my life. I took on professional work in a creative agency where I am a creative head now. But then the love for dance sprung back when I met this wonderful person who introduced me to Afro-beats form of dance. It was completely like falling in love back again. I started dancing for a dance group called Afrontal and from that point on it was no looking back. We also opened for Major Laser when they performed here in Bangalore.

If you love something, you will always navigate difficult times and find your way.. ..
