About Dialogues Cafe

You usually visit a coffee shop for some retreat and respite from the outward chaos, to do office work in peace. Almost all the cafes today offer free WiFi so that you can get your office work done, while sipping a hot cuppa. However in the back of your mind there’s always the thought of the coffee and food bill burning a hole in your pockets. Amidst all the cafes’ Dialogues café has stood out and is quickly gaining popularity because of its unique concept. Here you get charged only for the time you spend here.

Located in Koramangala in Bangalore, Dialogues Café is more like a social club with a cafe, work-space and library of sorts, all rolled into one. The other facilities of Dialogues Cafe include the permission to order food from outside, or bring you own tiffin. What else can anyone ask for in a café?!

Dialogues Café charges Rs 190 for the first hour and then Rs 3 per minute, at a maximum charge of Rs 1,000 for a day. There is a weekly plan for Rs 3,400, and monthly plan for Rs 6,900 per head.

I am an entrepreneur and a leadership coach where I enjoy coaching and developing future leaders from all walks of life. I have worked with almost all the top Fortune 100 companies and for them I run various open leadership programs.

For me the toughest time in my life arrived when I was attempting to break free from my mundane corporate job to the world of entrepreneurship. It was very difficult time for me because the society was not supportive to my change but when I look back I am proud of those days. It was that difficult change which has developed me into what I am.

Leadership scene in India is changing but still we are behind western countries. The children here are brought up in a very protective environment. The parents do everything for their children right from opening a bank account to choosing their career. We also have a very conformist approach where we are extremely bothered by log-kya-kahenge. That has to change if India has to create Olympic champions, business leaders or visionary entrepreneurs..

Break Out Comedy
Dialogues Cafe presents "Break Out Comedy" an evening of unprecedented comedy. In this edition of stand up comedy, we present to you three of the finest stand-up comedians in the country: Satish Perumal, Neelaksh Mathur and Ahmad Shariff.

Satish Perumal, an advertising professional by day and comedian by night, his humour takes his life story to centre stage drawing comparisons to his peers.

Ahmed Shariff has appeared on NDTV's Rising Stars of Comedy several times and has performed all over India. Ahmed made his debut in show business at the tender age of 5, when he played the role of a tree in a kindergarten school play; comedy came next in mid-2011.

Neelaksh Mathur claims that he is a wannabe Stand-Up Comedian. He tries and makes people laugh wherever he is (Usually the Autowala, cause he travels a lot in Autos). He does a bit of doodling, that too with a touch of humor.

Only 18+ allowed

Entry Charges: INR 500 only (inlcudes one snack and two beverages at Dialogues Cafe complimentary)

Tickets available at Eventshigh and also at the venue.

Letter Earthlings - Bangalore, India (January 2016)
Join The Goodwill Tribe and Letter Earthling's for the first Letter Writing Circle of 2017 in Bangalore!

Start 2017 by sparing a few hours this Sunday to brighten somebody else's day. We guarantee you that this heartwarming experience is going to kickstart your kindness goals this year!

The idea? To spread love, kindness and happiness through hand-written letters. All you need to do is to come for the event and bring along any amazing stationary, if you have any. :)

Here is how all of it works and how you can also help:

1. We receive letter requests from individuals through our google form online, for their friends, family, colleagues or maybe even themselves.

https://docs.google.com/a/aisle.co/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScMCC286xwj4wTNfMuTQ5eISvZXF8MrLiQ8Fjc9MlCx0xjRQw/closedform

What is a letter request, you may ask? Well, a letter may be requested for multiple reasons. Maybe, a letter of love and encouragement to someone going through a tough time. Maybe, a simple letter to let someone know their awesome. Maybe, a letter to show someone that goodness still exists in this beautfiul world. :)

2. We then come together during our monthly Letter Writing Circles, and write letters for the requests recevied.

3. We beautifully wrap them and send these bundles of letters out to the recipient as an anonymous package via mail to spread some cheer!

Come join us, write some old school snail mail and spread kindness! :)

I am an entrepreneur and I love designing futuristic technology products. I am currently working on two innovative products: one into wireless charging and other into electric vehicle charging.

I always wanted to do something of my own and for me plunging into entrepreneurship was not really a challenge. My father is also an entrepreneur and because he is successful, it got easier for me. The real challenge for me was to choose the right field for entrepreneurship and not just jump into it for the heck of it. I felt that software was not my cup of tea, I was more into products, I loved designing new products.

Entrepreneurship teaches you a lot. You end up committing a lot of mistakes but thats how you get it right. You explore so much about yourself: about your threshold, about people who will be there when you need them, about value of money, about relationships. The joy of entrepreneurship is in testing your own limits.

Every six months since I have taken entrepreneurship, I have really been tested. I feel like quitting every time but then I have this amazing family and friends who bail me. And then my dreams inspire me to stay and fight on.

I feel that Indian entrepreneurship is still to evolve although it is on right path. Innovations will come and things will change. Right now, most of the products are copy cats products but I think India has huge potential for mankind products. I was inspired when I read about this really low cost water filters designed locally by some entrepreneurs which is helping the masses fight the scarcity of the drinking water problem in India.

I am sure one day the change will come.

I was always the funny guy in my college group (cracking jokes at everything), but my first break in stand-up comedy was when I performed at my IIM Bangalore farewell. After that there was no looking back, I participated in so many open mics and stand up comedy shows. It gives me a kick seeing people laugh and I just love connecting to the audience. People come to my shows and forget about their day to day mundane worries and just unwind.

Being from IIM Bangalore is certainly a help as I know how to market and position my stand-up comedy. People who come to my shows can read through my intelligent satire (some nerdy ones) and compliment me that even my humor is from IIMs. This proves that I am doing well.

I also have a day job at Star Sports and I love it. The standup comedy I do compliments my job. I can laugh through my day to day challenges at Star and my ultimate aim is to be one of the funniest CEOs.

Well, its a myth that funny guys get a lot of girlfriends. I think stand up comedians attract lot of female admiration but then they cant really handle girls. I also have had my share of admiration from the opposite sex which is kind of nice. Once, I was doing this show in Delhi and I dont know why all these Delhi aunties are into matchmaking. One of the aunties approached me and started showing her daughters pictures and telling me that beta my daughter is also from Bangalore. I found it to be funny and I told her that you can ask her to add me on Facebook but then nothing happened.....
