About Dialogues Cafe Koramangala
You usually visit a coffee shop for some retreat and respite from the outward chaos, to do office work in peace. Almost all the cafes today offer free WiFi so that you can get your office work done, while sipping a hot cuppa. However in the back of your mind there’s always the thought of the coffee and food bill burning a hole in your pockets. Amidst all the cafes’ Dialogues café has stood out and is quickly gaining popularity because of its unique concept. Here you get charged only for the time you spend here.

Located in Koramangala in Bangalore, Dialogues Café is more like a social club with a cafe, work-space and library of sorts, all rolled into one. The other facilities of Dialogues Cafe include the permission to order food from outside, or bring you own tiffin. What else can anyone ask for in a café?!

Dialogues Café charges Rs 190 for the first hour and then Rs 3 per minute, at a maximum charge of Rs 1,000 for a day. There is a weekly plan for Rs 3,400, and monthly plan for Rs 6,900 per head.

If you have annoying roommates, failed travel plans or just the mere desire to be all by yourself, then you need to head over to Dialogues.

A library with a wide variety of books, rooms with board games, open rooftop, kitchen to feed you while you enjoy your time, they have it all. You can do whatever you want to: work, play, eat, read or just wonder in your thoughts and pay only for the time you spend there.
Its that time of the month where the elvis in our pocket has left the building. Texts, ads, offers keep on popping on our screen and how we wish February began sooner; and we could go back to doing exciting things.

Ever found yourself being defined by an emotion? Ever defined someone through an emotion? Ever heard things like He is an angry man, its frustrating to talk to him, She is scared of any initiatives, her only answer is to start crying at the drop of hat. Or perhaps, you have found yourself in multiple contexts, frozen in fear or lashing out in anger or jumping exceedingly with joy and regretted in retrospect. It may have not been the best response to the situation.

If emotions took a form, then who do you think was in control? You or the emotion? Who do you think is in control when you define yourself as fearful, angry? You or the emotion?

What if these emotions are showing up disproportionately or inappropriately because we havent listened to what they have to say? What if they are messengers who simply want the best for our well- being and to help us thrive in our professional and our personal lives.

WaheNadhis experiential program A conversation with emotions facilitates this journey as you explore your messengers the emotions.

Exploring emotions as messengers for our well -being , helps us in expanding our mindset on how we perceive Emotions.

What will we do together

- Learn to build a practice where your emotions are not in control of you but in conversation with you.

- Learn to recognize when you are in denial, defense or suppressing an emotion.

- Understand the neuroscience of the brain and body when an emotion surfaces.

The program can be considered one of the first steps to create a mind-body connection with oneself which helps us to build strong connections with the world that we interact. After completing this program, participants are invited to sign up for the next level.

Think of the word communication. Now write down everything that comes to your mind. Once youre done, if you have written the following words strike them out - talking/listening/exchange/ideas/body language/information.

Have you written anything more than this? By any chance does it include a person/ a context/feelings/memory/process/connection??

Communication as represented in a dictionary is an exchange- verbal or non-verbal to share, express information, ideas, feelings to reach a mutual understanding.

We at WaheNadhi believe that Communication is not simply the 'act' of transferring information from one to another. It is in fact a fascinating process of working with our 'Inner Chatter', those 'extras' such as the person, a memory, a feeling that you may have written down. The preconceptions affects how we talk to another, and how we perceive what the other is saying.

We believe 'Communication' (the end product) can be truly effective if one is ready to look within themselves and acquire tools that work with their own "Inner chatter".

Similar to an assembly production line that guarantees efficiency in creating a product up to delivering it to a store or to our doorstep in a well-drawn out process. We takes into account, the most difficult aspects of production and tap into the best resources which in our case is the human mind . We train you to access the tools at your disposal. Using the 4C's process created by WaheNadhi to explore our Internal Chatter, we will identify loose screws, rusted parts that no more serve the purpose of communication. We will also train the brain, learn to work in the present so as to help us have an efficient and productive talk with whomsoever. Basically, make the 'internal chatter' help us add to a discussion than be a hindrance to the discussion.

WE invite you to a one of a kind experience of writing a biography of an emotion. You will find its source- where/when/why it was born, moments it played a dominant role in your life, your own perceptions of it and what you believe how others see it. How you think it should be or should not be expressed? When should it or should not present itself

Why should you try this?

In simple words to make sense. To make sense of who/what the emotion is. What could its true purpose be to exist in your life. What if you the true reason for it to exist - are stuck with one perception of the emotion and by writing the biography, it is in fact helping you see the whole picture of why It is the way it is? or why it presents itself the way it does? What if hiding beneath an emotion is something else? An angry person might be angry because we are allowed to express anger but what if the true emotion is sadness or being hurt? Through the process of looking at its biography, we are kindly and gently opening the veil and being witness to its true reason for existence.

Because seeing the truth of anything (in this case, an emotion) for what it is- is potential strength. In this strength there are possibilities of choices, overhauls, change and healing.

What would it mean to write the Biography?

It means that we would -

introduce you to the various aspects that you may have to look into to get a complete picture to write the biography of your emotion.

introduce you to the roadmap that we call PART (Pause, Assess, Reframe and Train) that will help you look at the different emotions and write the biography of the chosen emotion for yourself create your own process to look at an emotion.

explore the different presentations of the same emotion

look at the various options of expression.

Did you know, that when you are in conversation with someone, you are in fact also in conversation with yourself?

You have thoughts, feelings, body sensations, all of which are parallelly having a dialogue with you.

Lets look at an instance that could happen in a workplace.

You and colleague having a disagreement on a point which has escalated into an argument and you are waiting for your turn to respond. Have you noticed the possible internal dialogue?

It may sound something like below:

Possible Internal thoughts to self

I dont get it, why does all my conversations with this person turn into an argument, it a pain to have a meeting with him/her. What did I do to him/her? Uff!! (or) Say something, just say something. Why arent you defending yourself? (or) I know what this is about, he is making it personal that the boss recognized my efforts, he/she is jealous

Possible Internal feelings

frustration, anger, confusion, distracted, disinterested, fear

Possible Internal body sensations

sweating, increase in body temperature, shiftiness, urge to scream or cry, urge to laugh or giggle

Do you relate to the above?!! Most of us have been in this situation or witnessed something like the above happen. The above happens because our internal dialogue with ourselves affects our communication with others. Understanding this internal talk within us could mean the difference Reacting in communication versus Connecting in communication

If your goal is to Connect in communication,

Step 1 is to Connecting to the internal chatter within yourself.

WaheNadhi presents 'Connecting with your Inner Chatter' The first step to Mindful Communication

In this workshop, we will attempt to:

Recognize the internal dialogue that happens within ourselves.

Observe if these internal dialogues are making you react in a conversation

Understand the neuroscience behind how our internal dialogues

Build an ability to notice how we are communicating with other people

Participants may sign up for the next level of the program after completing this workshop.

For me, nothing comes first before family. Everything I do, I think about how will it contribute to their happiness. I enjoy cooking and want to win hearts through delicious food. At Dialogues,I get this perfect opportunity to use my passion for cooking and experimenting new food to satisfy customers.

I miss those days in my village where I played cricket with my friends. We sat and watched cricket and there was no one like Sachin Tendulkar in this world. I enjoyed watching movies as well and amongst actors I liked Ajay Devgan. He is intense as well as funny.

I believe India is progressing and see a good future under the current Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. As much as I have seen and heard him, I think he is good for our nation.

Dialogues with Cinema (Japanese Films)

"Being an artist means not having to avert one's eyes." - Akira Kurosawa

We invite you to the February episode of Dialogues with Cinema. And this month we are discussing Japanese Films.

"Good cinema does more than entertain or fill seats at the cinema. It has the power to change hearts and minds and sometimes society more widely."

The idea of Dialogues with Cinema is to bring together a group of people with a taste of quality cinema. In this event the participants would discuss, share and exchange information about good movies from the selected genre. As a participant, you do not have to be a scholar in the movies, you just want to share, enjoy or build your knowledge about good movies.

When I was 18 years old, I left home for Kerala in search of a job. After working in Kerala for a few years I got bored there and went back home. Later opportunity struck up in Bangalore where ultimately and luckily Dialogues happened to me. In my work, I enjoy talking to customers and ensuring that they have a very happy experience. Their smiles are the best dialogues I seek from my job.

I enjoy lot of things: watching TV, dancing, singing, playing football. I am also a die-hard fan of Salman Khan, his personality is impressive.

If I am given a lot of money, I will build a house back in my hometown in Assam, start my own business and also visit the city of London as it is my dream destination.
